"haeun, remember that today jungwon is coming over in a hour." haeun's mother barged into her room without even knocking on the door, reminding her daughter that she'll have to make herself presentable for the boy living next door by the next hour as haeun just hummed, ignoring her mother's presence which earned a sigh from the said woman who just took her leave.
the girl paused for a minute, feeling as if she was forgetting something extremely important that was right under her nose yet she couldn't grasp it inside her mind.
books? no, they're right there on the desk in front of her bed. it isn't her notebook either because she clearly remembers taking it from her drawer to put in on top of the pile of textbooks knowing she'll need it later on.
realization hit her as strong as a truck running over her in the middle of the road, sitting up from her bed whilst a hand flew to her mouth to cover it in shock and she hurriedly ran to her studytable.
shit.
haeun just forgot to do the most important thing: her homeworks. and she has less than a hour to do everything. she has most of the exercises left and not enough time to do them considering it takes her 15 minutes to do one exercise. in this situation she would blame her friends for entertaining her with their stories and distracting from her only goal, completing her homeworks, but she knew deep down that she was the only one to blame everytime.
well, she's already sacrificing her time to look nice, as it takes her 40 minutes to dress up and do her make-up, she should at least make a good impression on him by finishing the simple task he assigned her.
but fuck, time is passing faster than what it feels like, and her mind is all fuzzy because of the anxiety of not being done on time.
"haeun, jungwon is here!" the panicked girl glanced at the clock in pure shock, hand hurring to write down all the answers left to complete before he could knock on her door.
wait. she is still in her pajamas? and he's a minute away from her room? and she didn't pick anything to wear? well whatever, she saw him in that messy state for the first time they ever met so it's his turn to see her that way.
"it's open jungwon." she nearly yelled after she heard his footsteps getting closer and closer until the door swung open, haeun throwing the pencil somewhere on the desk and standing from her chair hoping that he didn't notice she was still scribbling up until a second ago.
jungwon froze on the doorframe with hand still firmly wrapped around the doorknob, admiring the sight in front of her as to take it into his mind and never let it fade because it was the prettiest thing ever.
haeun's hair were somewhat messy, a bit wavy at the ends but straight everywhere else, and her eyebags were somewhat visible, as if they weren't noticeable but you could still tell they were there. she wasn't wearing a tiny bit of makeup, won could tell, but she somehow managed to look flawless without it. her lips weren't shining in lipgloss, her cheeks weren't flushing with blush and the corner of her eyes wasn't highlighted in white, won could tell, but her face looked almost... prettier without any of that?
his eyes drifted down her body, noticing the kind of clothes she was wearing before quickly looking away clearing his throat. why was she still in her pajamas? and why did it have to be that revealing?
her pajamas was only a fluffy crop top with bunny ears to resemble cinnamoroll and slightly oversized shorts with the same fabric as a bottom. her whole tummy was exposed, and so her legs, so it was pretty embarrassing for won to look at her like that.
the girl grabbed a t-shirt from a hanger nearby after realizing the situation, sliding it on her torso awkwardly as she mentally cursed herself for thinking these pajamas were appropriate to show anyone.
"sorry about that." the brunette stroke a strand of hair behind her ear, sitting back on her chair and waiting for him to do the same.
"did you have problems with your homeworks?" jungwon quickly changed the topic, taking the paper from her desk and analyzing it as to find any mistake. she held her breath, preparing herself psychologically to be scolded since everything was wrong as she fixated her gaze on her lap.
"i see you didn't, because everything is right." haeun subconsciously let out a sigh of relief before looking at him shocked, not believing what she just heard since her ears were definitely fooling her.
"wait, really? i'm usually really bad at math." she questioned whilst tilting her head in confusion, recieving a nearly proud nod and a smile from the boy. "yeah everything is correct, so that means we can go on with another topic."
updating on a school trip since i don't have anyone to talk to
