exiting the school gate all by herself as for a day she wasn't bothered by jisung because of whatever reason she didn't care about, haeun's brows knitted in confusion once she spotted kim minji and her friends waiting for someone a few meters away from where she was currently standing.
what were they even doing at her school? jungwon is not here because he has basketball practice, shouldn't she be there watching him or something? she's not in the mood to be bothered by her after jiwon annoyed her the entire day about going out with sunoo.
"park haeun!" minji called her name after she saw her trying to run away from there with hair falling down her shoulder to cover her face. "we have some unfinished business, don't we?" minji smiled warmly at her opposed to her words, slowly approaching haeun with the most devilish intentions as the girl backed away from her the closer she got.
the raven suddenly grabbed her wrist and dragged her towards the very back of the school building, throwing her on the ground harshly before lowering to her level and pointing a threatening finger in her face. "listen, park haeun, this is a warning. if you don't leave jungwon to me, there'll be consequences, and you don't wanna face them."
despite the difficult situation she was currently in, haeun chuckled at how pathetically desperate minji was to have a chance with jungwon. "what makes you think a basic bitch like you could have a chance with jungwon?-" her sentence was interrupted by the raw sound of a slap on her left cheek, her head being turned towards right as her cheek stung in pain by the harsh impact.
a psychopathic smile curved minji's lips, looking down at the hand that hit her face as she felt satisfaction spread through her chest at how good it felt to slap the girl that was stopping her from dating her true love.
one hit followed another, one kick became two, and haeun was getting severely beaten up by the phsyco and her two friends, grabbing her hair and continuously punching her face. her body was slowly giving up on her, trembling figure covered in wounds and bruises while her nose was bleeding and her gore ran down her face with eyelids threatening to close any moment by now.
it's not like it even mattered that haeun was now unconscious, because the three girls were still seriously assaulting her and even laughing at her terrible conditions.
"haeun? where are you?" rei's voice, who was looking for the tall brunette since they were supposed to go out together and she was nowhere to be found, was heard some meters away from they were currently circling the unresponsive female, making them panic trying to recompose her collapsed body so whoever that was wouldn't suspect a thing.
"haeun- oh my god!" the japanese girl gasped once she saw her friend's body laying on the ground, rushing towards her and taking her passed out body in her arms before shaking her quite a lot to get a response out of her.
"haeun, please answer me." she panicked once she wasn't answering her at all, grabbing her wrist and placing two fingers on the inner part where her veins could be seen to check her heartbeat. haeun was still alive, but she didn't seem to answer rei's desperate calls for her to wake up.
"you're the ones that fucking did this to her, aren't you?" the pink haired girl shouted at the three who were trying to sneak past her and run away to not get in trouble, bumping one onto the other's back since they abruptly stopped walking out of nowhere. "i fucking swear to god, if i see you near her one more i'm gonna fucking report you to the police."
the female slid her phone out of her backpack, that was previously thrown on the ground as she tried to rescue haeun, to call an ambulance since her friend wasn't gonna wake up any time soon in these conditions. rei blocked her phone from falling on the ground by placing it between her cheek and her shoulder, taking out a tissue to wipe away all the blood dripping down her chin and on her neck being absorbed onto the fabric of her uniform.
"please haeun, stay with me."
