walking side by side with her friend, haeun fixed the shoulder strap that was covered by her chocolate waves which she pushed past her shoulder and slid her hands in her pocket to keep them warm from the freezing cold weather.
"i'm actually glad we decided to go out together since we haven't been hanging out in a while due to our schedules." rei admitted as she pushed open the door of the coffee shop, a light breeze of hot air brushing her skin as soon as she stepped inside while both opened up their jackets slightly.
rei and haeun had somewhat drifted apart due to their change in schedules and the fact that they barely had any class together now, so they decided to meet up and catch up with whatever was happening in their lives. haeun had now quite a lot of free time because jungwon was currently forbidden from going out with her because of what happened the day after valentine's day.
jungwon had taken her to his house since his parents were on a business trip and they wouldn't come back until two or three days after valentine's day, so he didn't worry about tiding everything up that same night and decided to deal with it the day after. his mother decided to come back a day earlier, and the first thing she was greeted with was their shoes and her cardigan thrown on the floor right in front of the main door.
their clothes were still scattered on his bedroom's floor along with her lingerie, rose petals adorning the floor and the two sleeping fondly in eachother's arms with nothing but a blanket covering their bodies. his mother lectured him as usual and he was forbidden from meeting haeun for a while and their tutoring sessions would be held at his house with a maid looking after them.
it sucks, but jungwon has been sneaking out every night just to stay with her.
"me too. i actually wish we could hang out together everyday like before, but school's being a pain in the ass." the japanese girl took a hold of the drinks they ordered earlier and handed out haeun's to her, walking towards a free table where they could sit and talk for a while.
just as she placed the straw on her pink-ish lips, haeun froze on her seat once she spotted what seemed to be her boyfriend and minji a few tables away from them, squinting her eyes while knitting her brows in confusion. "isn't that jungwon? with the girl that assaulted you?" rei gasped more audibly with every sentence, lips ajar in shock as they both observed how the raven clinged onto him and laughed annoyingly at whatever he was saying.
"yeah that's him . . i thought he wasn't really allowed to go out in this period?" the brunette swore she could feel her heart shatter a bit at the sight before her eyes, feeling as if the past is repeating itself right in front of her irises and she was just reminded why cupid never deserved a second chance.
why would he even go out with minji in the first place? perhaps, all the hateful things he said about her were fake and just a way to cover up the fact that he liked her.
the girl averted her gaze on her drink instead, not bearing another second of looking at the two and just beginning to spin her straw in the liquid inside the plastic cup as rei couldn't help but press her lips into a thin line watching her change of mood before rubbing a hand up and down her back.
"do you wanna go somewhere else? we can go on a walk if you want." the female nodded her head sadly, taking a deep breath trying to recompose herself before grabbing her backpack from the ground as rei did the same.
she can't believe the boy that she saw admiring her friend with heart eyes whenever his tapioca pearl irises would land on her was now going out with another girl after lying to haeun about not being allowed to leave his house.
haeun's newly healed wound has been open again, and this time, just a bandage won't be able to close it back up.
