🏹 forty-nine

"thank you so much for coming over with such a short notice jungwon, you are saving me." mrs.park immediately thanked the boy standing before her as soon as she opened the door to welcome her daughter's boyfriend who was kind enough to come over and take care of haeun despite the short notice.

"there's no need to thank me, it's not a problem for me." he smiled warmly and reassured the woman that coming here is not a burden to him, taking his shoes off and leaving them right beside the door before closing it as she busied herself to get ready for work.

"haeun is upstairs in her room, her medicines are on the kitchen's counter and for whatever you need, please don't hesitate to send me a text if haeun isn't able to answer." and that was the last thing she told him before hurryingly taking her leave before she'll be late for work.

"haeun?" jungwon faintly knocked on her bedroom door after softly calling her name, slowly peeking his head from behind the door just to see his girlfriend lying lifelessly on her bed with cheeks flushed and eyes fluttering close.

this is partially his fault, considering he's the one that proposed to stop by at the basketball court in that empty park late at night while she was wearing just his black polo and a white tennis skirt, being exposed to the chilly weather as they played basketball until 1 am.

hearing her name being called by a familiar voice, haeun squinted her eyes open, outstretching her arms out for a hug as soon as she recognized his honey voice with a drunk smile on her slightly discolored lips. "wonie~ what are you doing here?"

won took a seat beside her burning hot body whilst letting out a chuckle, pushing some of her messy chocolate waves out of her face and tucking them behind her ear as a smile curved his lips. "i'm here to take care of you, baby."

before jungwon could process it, haeun's slim fingers wrapped around his bicep and pulled him down beside her, latching her arms around his torso and snuggling her face in the crook of his neck which compared to her body temperature seemed like a piece of ice.

"aww you're such a good boyfriend, i don't deserve you." he laughed quietly once again, playing with her messy strands and planting a kiss on her head, not caring if he'll catch a fever too after being so close to her.

this is the first time haeun is so clingy, as he's usually the clingy one in the relationship, and he hypothesizes it's because of the medicines she took a while ago or the high temperature marked on the thermometer on her nightstand. but he doesn't mind it, this version of her is so cute and he loves how the first thing she did once she saw him was outstretch her arms asking for a hug.

"and why is that?" haeun hummed for a minute against his skin giving him goosebumps, thinking about all the motives why jungwon is such a good boyfriend to her just as she said and breaking the contact between their bodies.

"well, you saved me from my bullies, you took care of me whenever i was injured, you always helped me with my homework and you love me no matter what." the girl listed out a few of the many reasons why she loves her lover so dearly, failing to acknowledge how he admired her with sparkling eyes and a bunny smile on his defined lips.

won kissed the tip of her nose, "you're so cute today." he tightened his embrace around her frail, sick, body and she giggled like a baby, snuggling her face in his hard chest while her arms lazily wrapped around his small waist.

"have you eaten yet?" the sick one shook her head as her nose rubbed against his hoodie and his chest heaved up and down, already sensing that it's gonna be one hell of a ride to feed her lunch considering how much she's clinging onto him today.

"i'll go make some ramen for you then—" just as he tried to gently push her arms off of him to go prepare her meal, haeun only hugged him tighter than before to keep him here with her. "i'm not hungry."

"but you need to eat love." she still refused to let him go, earning a defeated sigh from her lover who just gave up to escape her grip and feed her the meal she's trying to skip. "if you feel hungry, tell me, okay? i'll bring you to the kitchen with me if you don't wanna be away from me, but if you're hungry tell me right away."

and so, this is how the two lovers ended up cuddling in her bed for the past 2 hours, watching a kdrama on his phone until she fell asleep using his chest as her pillow, and jungwon saw this as the perfect opportunity to go to the bathroom and empty his bladder.

"where are you going?" her limbs automatically latched around his body as she questioned him in her sleepy voice where he was heading to, pressing down further on his bladder which he needed to empty as soon as possible. "just to the bathroom, or else i'll pee right here at this exact moment." hearing that, she let him go immediately and hugged her pillow instead, certainly not wanting her boyfriend to pee in his pants and on her bed because of her.

"you'll come back right?" haeun fluttered her heavy eyelids open to look at him, giving him those two adorable doe eyes of hers that his heart couldn't stand because they would melt it every time while a pout curved downwards her slightly discolored, kissable, lips. he smiled, planting a deep kiss on her boiling hot forehead before removing her blanket from his body and heading to her bathroom.

"won~ i'm hungry." the sick one whined as she massaged her noisy stomach, hearing it loudly growl to tell her she needed to absorb some nutrients since she hasn't touched some food in hours. jungwon, who just exited the restroom, sat on on the soft mattress of her bed that had now the shape of his butt and brushed his chocolate bangs cascading down his eyes back to move them out of the way.

"wanna go downstairs and eat some ramen together?" the brunette's irises lit up in joy as her eyes turned into two crescent moons, an adorable bunny smile adorning her lips whilst she nodded her head excitedly and sat up instantly to slide her slippers on her feet.

"let's go!"
