Sixty Three

The couple had a lovely time with Lando's family. Lando's family loved the proposal idea. 
Lando was at MTC working on the Sim, Max was away with friends which left Jess and Lottie. 
"I need to go to the clinic today for a check up. Do you want to come with me?" Lottie looks to Jess. 
"Sure" 
They head to the clinic. The Dr's were monitoring Lottie closer for growth with a plan to induce her closer to her due date in February. As always the receptionist at the clinic is friendly, guiding them to sit down and wait to be called. 
"Honestly, my hips are killing me now" Lottie rubs her side. 
"I wish I could sympathise with you but my pregnancy has been amazing, sometimes I forget I'm pregnant" Jess giggles.
"I hate you sometimes" 
"Charlotte Clark" 
Lottie and Jess get up heading into the room.
"Nice to see you again Lottie" The Dr smiles to her. "If you could sit on the bed and lift your shirt up please and we will start the scan" The Dr places the gel on her bump and moves it around to find the babies. Lottie and Jess can see both babies on the screen, the Dr begins looking closer at Twin B. Lottie can see the concentration of the Dr's face, it made her feel uneasy, was something wrong? 
"Is there something wrong?" Lottie finally builds up the courage to ask, afraid at what the answer could be. 
"I just need another Dr to check something. I'll be right back" The Dr leaves, Lottie looks to Jess.
"Is there something wrong?" Lottie looks to her friend with tears in her eyes. 
"Lets just wait to see what they tell us" Jess tries to reassure her friend. The Dr returns 5 minutes later with another Dr.
"Lottie, this is Dr Murtagh" 
"Hi" Lottie responds recognising him from Jess' scan. They begin to scan Lottie's belly again focusing on twin B. The Dr's give each other a look before looking back at the screen. 
"Will someone tell me what's wrong?" Lottie blurts out unable to control her emotions. 
"Sorry Lottie, I just wanted to be sure. It looks like Twin B is actually a girl" 
"What?" Lottie looks to them confused. 
"It looks like when you had the gender scan, twin b was given the incorrect gender" 
"Are you sure? There's nothing wrong is there" 
"I'm 100% positive you are having a boy and a girl. Everything is looking well and they are growing at a perfect rate for how far along you are.  I can only apologise for our error"
"A girl." Lottie laughs. "I've just bought loads of boys clothes" She turns to Jess. 
"Lando is going to be so happy. He wanted a girl. Now you have one of each" 
"I'll print out more scan photos and see you again in the next couple of weeks" 
They leave the clinic, Lottie still shocked at the news she has been given. 
"Jess can you drive? I have to tell Lando but I'm too in shock" Lottie looks to her friend. 
"Come on, lets go meet him at MTC." 
The short drive to MTC, they pull in heading in to the reception area. 
"Lottie, it's so good to see you" the receptionist smiles at her. "Are you here to see Lando or Zac?" 
"Lando please" 
"He's in the sim room" 
"Thank you" 
They head up to the sim room and quietly enter, Lando is sat on the sim with Jon sat behind and a couple of the team stood around watching. 
"Hey, how was the scan?" Lando asks as he notices her enter. 
"Well, I actually need to speak to you about that" Lottie responds. 
Lando stops what he is doing and looks at her. "Is everything ok?" 
"Everything is perfect, growing nicely however it turns out that Thomas isn't Thomas" 
"What do you mean?" Lando looks confused. 
"Thomas is actually a girl. They got it wrong" Lottie smiles, tears welling up in her eyes.
"A girl?" Lando shouts as he jumps up out the sim heading to her. "Yessss"
"Anyone would think you were excited to have a girl" Jon pipes up. 
"I am. I mean I want my babies to be healthy but I really wanted a girl" He places his hand on Lottie's cheeks pulling her in to a kiss. He pulls away, placing his hand on her bump. 
"Ow, that was a right kick" Lottie says holding her side. 
"I felt it" He smiled. 
"I'll let you finish here but I thought you would want to know. I'm going to go share the news with Zac. I'll see you when you get home" 
"Ok baby. Love you" 
"Love you too. Come on Jess" 
The girls head out the room just as Zac is about to enter. 
"Lottie, hunny. I wasn't expecting you today" 
"Sorry pops. I had to share some news with Lando" 
"Everything ok?" 
"Yes, It turns out Thomas is actually a girl" 
"Oh...That's amazing. I know how much Lando wanted a girl" 
"He's really happy." 
"I need to head in a meeting but I'll see you at the race" 
"Sure. Bye" 
"Bye" 

On the way home, Lottie decides to drive passed her and Jess' old house. She had received confirmation the day before that the sale had gone through and someone would meet her at the property today with the keys. 
"Why are you going this way?" Jess looks to Lottie who is driving. 
"I thought it would be nice to just reminisce." 
"I miss that house. Would of been perfect to have raised Margot in. I wonder who lives there now" 
"Not sure" Lottie smirks to herself. 
They pull in to the street and pull up outside the house, Lottie can see the real estate sat in their car. 
"Oh it looks like someone has bought it" Jess says disappointed. 
"That's a shame. Come on lets ask the estate agents if we can have one last look" Lottie gets out the car followed by Jess. The estate agent gets out the car. 
"Hi Lottie, I believe these are yours" The young girl hands over the keys. 
"What's going on?" Jess looks confused. 
"I actually think these are yours" Lottie hands the keys to Jess. "Thank you very much for dropping the keys off" The estate agent smiles before getting in their car and driving off.
"Lottie, what did you do?" 
"A few weeks ago I saw that the property had come on sale and I wasn't ready to let the house go. You've done so much for me Jess, that I wanted to give something back to you and Baby Margot. Welcome Home. The house is yours"
"Really?" 
"Yes. It's all furnished, ready for you to move in" 
"I love you Lottie so much" Jess hugs Lottie. 
"I love you too. Now lets go see your house"
