Seventy Three

"Are you sure we have everything? You were rushing me out of the house" Lottie looks around in the car. 
"Yes we have everything" Lando lets out a breath as they pull in to the village where his parents live. 
"Why the rush?" Lottie playfully asks him. 
"It's Christmas eve and I just wanted to get us settled. It's a long drive."
"Tell me about it. I'm so tired. Do you think your family would mind if I went for my nap" 
"NO! Not at all, of course you can nap" Lando blurts out. 
"Woah calm down" Lottie chuckles "Anyone would think you were trying to get rid of me" 
"No, I just want you to be well rested before Santa comes" He places his hand on her knee and smirks at her, as they pull in the driveway. 
They climb out the car, grabbing the bags heading in to the house. They can hear talking coming from the sitting room. Lottie heads in to see Lando's family all sat watching Mila dancing. 
"Lottie. We saw your bump before we saw you" Oliver blurts out. 
"OLIVER. Don't be so rude" Cisca shouts, getting up to hug Lottie. "Lottie darling how are you?"
"I'm good thank you" 
"Hello hunny" Cisca hugs Lando.
"Hello Mum" 
Lottie heads in taking a seat on the sofa next to Sav. 
"How are you feeling?" Sav looks to her. 
"Honestly, not sure how I'm still awake right now" Lottie laughs. 
"Why don't you go get some rest?" Sav looks to her. 
"I don't want to be rude. We've only just got here" 
"You're not been rude. You  should go get some rest. We've got a night of family games to play" Adam interrupts. The family look to Lottie with an approving look. 
"Right, sorry guys but I need to go get some sleep." Lottie gets up with the help of Lando. 
"You're in the spare room at the front. We are decorating Lando's bedroom" Cisca smiles. 
"Come on I'll show you" Lando grabs Lottie's hand heading upstairs to the room at the end of the hall opposite his room. Lottie heads in kicking off her shoes and laying down on the bed. 
"You get some rest baby. I will see you when you wake up. I love you so much Lottie" Lando places a kiss on her forehead. 
"I love you so much too" He watches as Lottie snuggles in to a pillow and closes her eyes. He heads out the room, closing the door and taking a deep breath. He heads downstairs to the rest of the family. 
"Is she asleep? Can we start?" Adam looks to his son. 
"Yes. We have 3 hours before she wakes up" 
"Won't she hear them setting up?" Cis asks confused. 
"Trust me when Lottie naps, it's for 3 hours on the dot and nothing wakes her at all" 
"Right lets get you engaged" Oliver slaps Lando on the back as they head out the room. 
They head in to the orangery and the back garden. Some of the set up had already been put in place. Realising Lando's room looked on to the back garden, they decided to place Lottie in the spare room at the front making an excuse about decorating the room was the best idea. 
Slowly and quietly, people turned up with lights, candles, hundreds of red roses, a red carpet. 
"Lando we have half an hour left. The band will be here in 10" Flo looks to her brother from her phone. 
"Right I'm going to get changed" Lando wipes his sweaty palms on his trousers, looking at the set up, hoping it was enough. 
He heads in to the downstairs office, he had packed a Tux. He stood in the mirror looking at himself ready. A knock on the door startles him. 
"Hunny, it's me" Cisca softly speaks.
"Come in" 
"Oh look at you. You look beautiful" Cisca wipes a tear.
"I'm so nervous" He looks to his mum. 
"Don't be. She's going to love it. You've done such a good job." 
"What if she says no"
"She's not going to. That girl loves you so much. We all can see how much love you have for each other. It's special and powerful. You're meant to be" 
"Sorry to interrupt but it's time" Oliver softly interrupts. 
"Right battle stations" Lando laughs before heading out the room. 

Lottie wakes from her nap with much more energy than she did before. She stretches, realising it's now dark outside. A soft knock on the door and then in enters Sav, Flo and Mila. 
"Hey, sorry did we wake you?" Sav looks to her. 
"No I was just getting up. What's up?" 
"Cisca and Adam have decided to throw a little Christmas party and want us to dress up. We've come to help you get ready. Lando's nipped out with Oliver to grab some supplies" 
"Oh I see. That's why your so dressed up" Lottie chuckles looking at both girls "I don't have anything like that to wear" Lottie looks to them. 
"Well I'm repaying the favour" Flo smiles pulling a dress bag out of the wardrobe, She places it on the bed next to Lottie, opening it to reveal a white dress. 
"It's beautiful" Lottie touches the beautiful dress. 
"I had a little help from House of Lily." Flo smiles. "Now come on. Sav will do your makeup and I'll do your hair, you can sit" 
Half hour passes and Lottie is ready. 
"Wow. You look beautiful. Let me take a picture" Sav takes out her camera taking a picture.
