Chapter 19: The Sand Siblings Enter

Makoto stop on her track which made Sasuke stop on his track too.

"What's wrong?"

Makoto sense three familiar presences she has not seen for a long time. "Those presences..."

"Wha-?"

Makoto did the hand sign for the Transportation Jutsu and Sasuke was caught in it, and transported, standing on a tree.

"What are you-?"

Makoto quickly kiss Sasuke to stop him from talking.

Sasuke blushes. 'She's...She's kissing me!' Sasuke thought.

'They're here; I can feel it,' Makoto thought.

Makoto stop kissing Sasuke and look down at the street.

"Makoto?" Sasuke said softly.

Makoto did not respond, so Sasuke decided to just look down at the street too.

Konohamaru was running away from Sakura until he bump into someone with purple mark on his face and in black.

'Is that...' Makoto thought.

It was Kankuro and Temari.

"That hurt," Kankuro said, but didn't really mean it, or did he?

Kankuro roughly grab Konohamaru by the scarf, choking him. "That hurt, brat."

"Stop it. We're going to get scolded later," Temari told Kankuro.

"I'm sorry. I was just joking around, so..." Sakura tries to reason with them.

"Hey! Let go of Konohamaru!" Naruto yell.

Kankuro grinned. "But I want to play around before some cocky people come."

"Let go!" Konohamaru struggles to be free.

"You're very energetic, kid."

"Why you!" Naruto yell.

Naruto starts to run up to Kankuro, until Kankuro use his puppeteer skill.

Naruto trip and fell; he was shock. "What was that?"

"Konoha's Genins are weak," Kankuro remarked.

'I can't take any more of this,' Makoto thought. Makoto appears in the middle between the Konoha Genins and the Sand Genins. "Hey, let go of Konohamaru."

"Says who?"

"Says me."

Temari gasp in surprise as she recognizes Makoto. 'Makoto?' Temari thought. "Kankuro!" Temari shouted.

"What?" Kankuro was getting annoyed.

"I mean it; if you don't let Konohamaru go, you'll regret it." Makoto give Kankuro a scary look that says, 'I'll kill you'.

Kankuro flinched and let go of Konohamaru. Konohamaru run up to Naruto and the others.

Kankuro smirked. "I like you, and that's why I'm going to spare you."

"...So...Konoha Genins are weak huh."

"Yeah; weakling, little kids," Kankuro said as he walk up to Makoto.

Makoto smirked. "I beg to differ. They're stronger than they look."

"Oh yeah...Care to prove me wrong, cutie?"
