Chapter 22: Spy On Makoto

Makoto was about to do a Transportation Jutsu when Naruto grabs her hand.

"Naruto!"

"Let's go eat ramen!" Naruto exclaimed.

Makoto giggles. "Alright, alright."

Sasuke glare at Naruto. 'He was able to make her giggle!' Sasuke thought.

Naruto drag Makoto to Ichiraku. After 20 bowls of ramen...

"Thanks for the ramen, Naruto."

Naruto giggles. "You're welcome."

Sakura blushed. "Sasuke, I was wondering if we could-"

"Sorry, but I have to refuse."

"O-Oh...Okay then..."

"I'll be going now." Sasuke walk off.

Makoto went to the academy, Hokage's room.

"Ah, you're here, Makoto. Did you need something?"

"Lord Hokage, I would like to go on a solo mission."

"A solo mission?"

"Yes."

"Makoto, have you informed your squad mates, or Kakashi?"

Makoto place her hands behind her head. "No, I haven't."

"You realize if you go off alone-"

"I know, I know," Makoto said lazily.

'Just like her mother,' Hokage thought with a sigh. "Fine. I have a couple S and A Rank missions available."

"Give me an assassination mission, two of them."

"Are you sure?"

"Lord Hokage, I'm sure. I'm a big girl."

Hokage let out a chuckle. "Alright."

Hokage assigns two S Rank missions for Makoto.

Makoto walk up to the window. "Okay; I'm off now." Makoto place a foot on the window.

"Good luck out there."

"Thanks," Makoto said as she two-fingers salutes to the Hokage. Then she jumps out of the window.

Hokage sigh. "That girl..."

As Makoto jumps from rooftop to rooftop, Sasuke happens to be walking on the street. He stop on his track and he seem to saw her, and she seems to be wearing her headband the same way she used to and her ninja mask as well.

'Where is she going so fast? She's wearing her headband the same way as before and her mask,' Sasuke thought. Then he shook his head out of his thought. 'Damn it! Why do I care?! She can take care of herself.' Sasuke was about to walk off when he heard someone calling his name. It was Naruto.

Naruto run up to Sasuke. "Sasuke!"

"What is it, Naruto?"

"Did you see where Mako went? I lost track of her a few minutes ago."

"She went that way," Sasuke said as he point towards the direction where the front gate would be.

"Hm...Could it be..." Naruto gasp.

"What? What is it, Naruto?"

Naruto grin widely. "I'm not going to tell you." Naruto runs off that way.
