Chapter 19

jungkook" yoongi said to the crying boy in his arms.

"I am sorry" jungkook replied hugging yoongi tighter. yoongi somehow broke the hug and looked at the younger who was a mess. jungkook looked down but yoongi grabbed his face and made him look up. he wiped his tears. jungkook could see that yoongi was crying too but his tears why silent.

"why jungkookah?" yoongi asked. he knew jungkook was hurting but he never thought it was this bad that jungkook would hurt himself.

"I don't know i-" jungkook choked on a sob, breaking down in yoongi's palm.

"hy hy it's okay" yoongi pulled jungkook closer to him and hugged him.

"Everything hurts hyung I just wanted to make everything stop. the pain the voices" jungkook voice trembled his head rested on yoongi's chest and yoongi's arms wrapped securely around him.

"I am sorry bun. I didn't know you were hurting so much" yoongi hugged jungkook tighter and kissed the top of his head. they stayed in the same position till jungkook's cries subsided and he started to calm down. he made jungkook lie-down and he too lay beside him, holding him close.

"I like this" yoongi heard jungkook voice after what felt like an hour.

"What?" yoongi asked softly, his fingers moving in jungkook's hair. jungkook looked up at him.

"Being close to you" jungkook whispered which made yoongi smile softly at him.

"yeah?" he said siding jungkook's hair from his forehead.

"it makes the voices go away," jungkook said.

"then I'll always keep you close" yoongi smiled at him which made jungkook give him a small smile in return. he returned to hiding his face in yoongi's chest.

"what do they say? the voice." yoongi asked after a minute.

"they tell me I don't deserve you" jungkook voice sounded small. yoongi furrowed his eyebrows after hearing the younger's answer.

"do you believe that?" yoongi asked looking down at jungkook.

"I did" jungkook replied not meeting yoongi's eye.

"baby look at me," yoongi said placing his palm on jungkook's cheeks and making him look at him.

"you know it's not true right?" yoongi asked. jungkook just stared at him with his doe eyes.

"I c-cant fight the voices." jungkook said looking at yoongi with hopeful eyes.

"yes you can bun, you are strong," yoongi said looking deep into jungkook's eyes. jungkook just stared at him knowing that he belong for once in his life. he knows he didn't know yoongi well but he knows that yoongi will never do anything to hurt him. he wanted to believe yoongi he has lived all his life believing otherwise. he may act tough but deep down he is just a broken boy who needs someone to save him.

"I want to get better hyung, will you help me?" jungkook asked with innocence and hope.

"you know I will baby," yoongi said and kissed jungkook's forehead and pulled in closer if that was even possible. he held him and they both fell asleep tangled into each other.

Next week yoongi convinced jungkook to come to a psychiatrist with him. after a lot of convincing jungkook agreed. there, he was diagnosed with clinical depression and was advised to see a therapist.

yoongi was there with him through each step. he held the younger in his arms at night when he cried. he made jungkook eat food when he wanted to throw up. he now understood why jungkook always had a rubber band on his wrist in school. he brought jungkook one and put it on his wrist. whenever he noticed him flicking it, his heart would break knowing how much he is still suffering. jungkook still didn't let yoongi see the scars but whenever yoongi hugged him, he felt his palm softly caressing his bruised skin.

yoongi told his mom too about jungkook's condition and she was happy too that the younger was getting help. when yoongi was not home, she took care of him. yoongi's father didn't know what happened with jungkook but he seemed to care too. he asked jungkook how he was doing every day.

jungkook didn't contact his parents and nor did yoongi. he never asked jungkook what happened that day but he thinks he knows. he knows that no matter what happens, he will never let jungkook's dad come closer to him.

"Hyung" Jungkook said entering yoongi's studio. older was settled on his desk with headphones wrapped around his neck. he looked back and gave jungkook a small smile.

"jungkookah did you need anything?" yoongi asked removing his headphones.

"I just came to see you. what are you doing?" jungkook asked and looked around noticing empty coffee cups and takeout boxes.

"I am working on something. but I think everything is just going bad" yoongi sighed and looked at his computer and the sheets of paper scattered on his table.

"umm is there any way I can help you?" jungkook asked looking at yoongi with eager eyes. yoongi thought about it for a moment looking at him and then the papers on the desk and then he remembered that younger also lived. he thought if his voice would be as good as his normal voice then yoongi is doomed.

"do you sing jungkookah?" yoongi asked looking at the younger curiously.

"not really but I try to sing sometimes," Jungkook said shyly.

"Can you sing something for me?" yoongi asked. jungkook didn't think twice and nodded.

within thenext minute, jungkook was inside the recording booth, reading yoongi's lyrics. this was not the first time he was reading something yoongi wrote but it was the first time he was supposed to sing one of yoongi's masterpieces. he cleared his throat and started singing.

as an avid music listener, yoongi has listened to many singers and none of their voices left him astonished. jungkook's voice dripped into his ears like honey. he stayed glued to his seat staring at jungkook as his beautiful lips moved along the music. he had never heard such a beautiful voice in his life. it was like an angel singing.

when the song ended, he looked at yoongi with excited eyes asking how it was. yoongi didn't reply he opened the door and went straight to where jungkook was standing. he looked at yoongi with an expression jungkook couldn't decipher. before jungkook could say anything yoongi hugged him which took jungkook by surprise.

"What happened? jungkook chuckled and wrapped his arms around yoongi.

"you sound like an angel," yoongi said looking up at jungkook.

"no I don't" jungkook replied.

"yes, you do" yoongi pouted which made jungkook smile.

"I'm not sure but okay if you say so" jungkook smiled showing his bunny smiled. yoongi stood there awestruck staring at jungkook's beautiful smile.

"koo" yoongi called.

"yea" jungkook said still holding on to yoongi

"can I kiss you?"
