Chapter 25

yoongi and jungkook were standing outside the police station waiting for their friends. yoongi decided he was ready to tell the police everything and file an official police complaint against hoseok. jungkook looked at the older man staring ahead and anxiously fidgeting his fingers. jungkook took yoongi's hand in his.

"Are you okay?" jungkook asked rubbing his thumb softly over yoongi's skin. yoongi nodded not looking at jungkook. he turned his palm and intertwined their fingers.

"hyung look at me," jungkook said placing his hand softly over yoongi's jaw making him turn to look at him. yoongi looked at him with his soft cat eyes. jungkook saw the fear and nervousness in the older's eyes.

"Are you scared?" jungkook asked softly caressing his cheeks. it has become his favorite thing to do now.

"I am not scared," yoongi said his voice sounding small. he tightened his hold on jungkook's hand. 

"come here," jungkook said and pulled him closer, connecting their foreheads. they both sighed in unison because of the closeness they both craved so badly. jungkook took yoongi's hand and placed it on his chest.

"hear my heartbeat? focus on that" jungkook said and they stayed silent, taking in each other's presence. after a minute or two they heard a horn sound indicating that their friends were there. yoongi pulled back first but jungkook stopped him.

"Hy, everything will be okay," jungkook said and kissed his forehead. yoongi let out a deep sigh as jungkook's lips meet his forehead. he smiled a little at his husband and nodded.

they walked out of the car and saw yoongi's as well as jungkook's friends standing outside the police station door.

"tae? jimin? what are you guys doing here?" jungkook asked looking at his best friends confused.

"namjoon hyung told us about everything that happened. We just wanted to be there for you and yoongi hyung," tae said looking at yoongi.

"yoongi hyung we are sorry this happened to you?" jimin said looking at yoongi apologetically. yoongi nodded.

"thank you for coming guys" yoongi gave his friends a small smile.

"let's get this done," namjoon said and they all walked into the police station but yoongi stopped on his way. jungkook turned toward him.

"what happened? Are you okay?" jungkook asked looking at yoongi with concerned eyes.

"I want to do this alone jungkookah," yoongi said looking over at the younger.

"what? no, I am not letting you go through that alone" jungkook protested.

"jungkook, please. I will be okay" yoongi said walking toward the younger and placing his hand on his arms. their friends just stood there and watched.

"why hyung?" jungkook asked looking at yoongi with his doe eyes which made yoongi smile at him. he reached out his hand and placed t over jungkook's cheek.

"just let me do it bun. I promise I will be okay" yoongi said caressing his cheekbone. 

"okay okay if you want to" jungkook exhaled.

"thank you" yoongi smiled at him. he turned to look at taehyung.

"stay with him please," he said and tae nodded. yoongi went inside the officer's office and the rest waited outside.

jungkook paced around anxiously because it's been 15min and yoongi hasn't come out yet.

"jungkook please sit down," namjoon said.

"i can't. what is taking him so long? Why is he not out yet?" jungkook said anxiously biting his nails and staring at the office door. he felt a hand on his back and saw tae standing beside him.
