How the Lab Rats Fell

Chapter One: Leo

However long ago (I'll decide later)

After what seemed like hours, Adam, Bree, and Chase finally left the training area.
"Where were you guys?" I demanded, "I've been waiting for you forever!"
"Well," Bree responded, "I cleaned up my training area in 30 seconds, but spent the next ten minutes trying to convince my students that training would begin after a day, not a minute."
"And besides, if you don't have bionic speed," Chase continued, glaring at Bree, "You would find that cleaning up the mess your students made is much harder than it looks. Especially when these two won't help you because they think that if they touch your equipment, they will get the 'Brainiac Disease!'"
"It's true," Adam remarked, "It's why Mr. Davenport has any chance at all in the tech world. And why are you complaining? You're the one who decided to play jeopardy with your students today!"
"Because you won't give me anything useful to teach!" I protested.
"And that's because you suck!" Big D remarked as he entered the room, "Now who's ready to hydroloup back to the mainland!" Adam, Bree, and Chase cheered, while I muttered, "Save your life-again."

When we arrived at the mainland, the paparazzi was waiting.
"Adam," I asked, "Did you happen to send out a nimo blast to the whole world that we were coming back to Mission Creek?!"
"No," he answered, "I sent it to Public."
"That is the whole world!" Chase yelled.
"Oh," Adam replied, "Well, it happens." Chase and I gave Adam the death stare, while Big D was beaming about the publicity.
"Anyway," Bree said inexpressively, "I'm super speeding to the house, because I don't feel like dealing with these people. Later, losers!" With that, Bree super sped out of the hydro-loop, which kicked up the dust from the street and made Chase's super senses glitch and had him spew mucus everywhere. Suddenly, Sabrina pushed out of the crowd.
"Chase!" she shouted over the fans' squeals.
"Sabrina!" he shouted back, awkwardly hugging her. They walked off, with Chase telling her all of the nerdy facts he hadn't already told her. When I looked over to tell Adam and Big D how cute Chase and Sabrina were together, I saw that they were gone. Looking out of the car, I saw Big D bragging about his every accomplishment and Adam kneeling down with a long line of dogs he was mouth kissing. I just shook my head and climbed out of the hydroloup. I looked around to see if Janelle had attended, but, as I suspected, she wasn't there. Ever since that incident with Janelle on the island with Spin, she had totally dissed me and hadn't called or texted me or replied to any of mine. If she wanted to break up with me, why wouldn't she just tell me?

So, welcome to the Lab Rats world right after Space Colony (you'll figure out why later). The part about the island, I totally guessed on (but why else would Leo be with Shelly?) and I don't know how much this fractured relationship with Janelle will affect the story.
