Here it is! Parallax Part Two!
Garrett (Parallax)
We all just stared at the sign.
"Parallax," I breathed, still confused.
Why was this parallel universe place called 'Parallax'? It was almost as if everyone who went through a wormhole would end up here. And someone had enough proof to call this place Parallax.
"Guys," Wyn said, "We found each other, but where are Adam, Bree, and Chase?"
"And Leo," Heather mentioned, "The guy everyone forgets about."
"Hey," I piped up, "I've traced Chase's chip before. I could do it again."
Everyone just stared.
"Then do it!" Jax shouted, breaking the silence. I used my newfound super speed to run down to the nearest computer, and started typing in the code, when Wyn joined me.
"You realize that you can use your super speed to type, right?" she asked.
"Good to know," I said, and speed typed the rest of the code.
"There!" Wyn exclaimed, "Cell Block 24ACT!"
"Let's go!" I exclaimed, and we sped to the area. When we got there, we saw Adam, Bree, and Chase standing there. They heard our arrival and turned around.
Before we could do anything, Bree super sped around us to make us dizzy. Then Adam sent a blast wave at us, and Chase used his molecular kinesis to throw us in the cell.
"That'll keep them settled down," Bree muttered, smirking.Jax (Parallax)
Garrett, then Wyn.
Ugh, just speeding off without a trace. Ever heard of teamwork?
Anyway, we decided to do some exploring of our own, and we found a computer that seemed to have been recently used. We saw that someone had pulled up Chase's chip location, and Fern pushed me out of the way.
"Let me pull up the security feed," she said, and pulled it up, bragging, "I have super intelligence."
What we saw shocked us. Garrett and Wyn were collapsed in a cell with the bionic trio looking at them. Fern turned on the sound.Wyn (Parallax)
"Did you really think that I would let you guys get away?" Bree asked, "I mean, I'm sure you thought you were in the clear, but I know who you are and where you've come from."
"Really?" Garrett asked, "Because if we're too much trouble, we are more than happy to go back to our original worlds."
"Please," Bree chided, "Once you enter Parallax, I never let you return home. That is, unless you were foolish enough to turn on Davenport's proton fuser in your original world!"
"We weren't stupid, we were curious!" I defended.
"Please, that's what they all say," Bree said, "Honestly, I don't know how many people here were actually born here in Parallax. But my rule has kept the newcomers in, and soon, my plan will succeed."
"And that plan is..." Garrett started.
"To rid all of the 15 universes of bionics. Permanently," Bree declared.
"Well, instead of bragging, why don't you tell us the full story," I suggested.
"Very well," Bree said, "If you insist. I started as a bionic super human. However, the world I lived in was populated with hundreds of millions of bionic super humans. I wasn't unique. However, it taught me how to use my bionics tougher than any other version of me. I became self sufficient. Then, I ran into Davenport's proton fuser, and was transported into a world where no one was bionic. Not me, not anyone else. I realized that this life was so much better, life without super powers. I then made it my mission to wipe any other universe of its bionics. Looking deeper into the proton fuser, back in my world, I saw that there were 15 worlds, and learned how to not only transport myself to a select universe, but to make my effects stay, not revert after I left. I then travelled to a universe where I met two super humans who I came to respect. It was my sixth universe, and they helped me complete the process, because an army of bionics soldiers were attacking me and I didn't have bionics. Their names were Adam and Brad. I offered to make them a part of a team, with the three of us. I would share the secrets of the 15 universe, and they would help me rid them of bionics. The three of us ended up getting rid of bionics in 13 of the universes. However, we left my original world, because I had a special plan for it, which was to bring the strongest willed people to it to truly put on a good show. But the world I couldn't figure out was the root world. Every other world sprouted off it, so it was tough to begin with. But then someone travelled back in time, and ended up fracturing the world into two, but it then became a paradox. One world was yours, Garrett. If you travelled to the core of that Earth, it was your world, Wyn. However, if you travelled to the core of this Earth, you'd then arrive in Garrett's Earth. This paradox essentially made my methods useless. After countless tries to make my bionic wipe out last after we left, I ended up giving up. Congrats. But now, I'm ready to wipe out the bionics of this universe. You'll be free, but bionic-less. Enjoy."
But before they could leave, they ran into Fern, Jax, and Heather. Their surprise gave Jax the chance to blow up the control panel and free Garrett and I. It was showtime.
