Spin
I stumbled into the commons area. I had just learned what "pulling an all nighter" was, and I had decided to do it with Bob.
Bad idea.
However, I obviously wasn't in the worst shape.
Right then, Adam and Bree arrived back at the island. Bree was a wreck, tears streaming down her face and her hair in a rat's nest. Adam looked like he had been crying too, but was pretty composed.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Chase, can I talk with you?" Adam asked.
"Sure," Chase replied, following Adam to probably the mentor quarters.
"Boo, you okay?" Bob asked. Bree just groaned.
"Bree," I reasoned, "Just tell us what's wrong!"
"Spin," she said as sweetly as possible, "You are too young and too innocent to be scarred like I have. Let's just leave it at that."
Bree tried to super speed somewhere, but she ended up hitting a pole and being knocked out cold.
"Come on Bob," I said, "Let's get Bree to the infirmary." And we took Bree to the infirmary.

Chase
"What?" I cried.
"I'd like to punch you and tell you that I'm joking," Adam confirmed, "But Tasha divorced Mr. Davenport and totally blew me and Bree off!"
"Adam," I said, "It's 'Bree and I' not 'Me and Bree.'"
"Grahmmer will turn me into a nird," Adam said, "Like you."
(A/n I meant to spell grammar and nerd wrong)
"Adam," I said, "You know that you just complimented me now, right?"
"I do now!" he remarked, "You are so stupid and dumb it's not believable!"
"Adam?" I asked, "Just stop, okay?"
"Fine," he said, defeated, "I'll stop."
Then, I left the mentor quarters to go check on Bree.

Bree
I was pretty sure that I was done crying, though with the magnitude of the situation, who would know? Most people would say that I would know, but at that moment, I wasn't feeling very sure of myself. Just then, Chase came into the infirmary.
"How are you holding up?" he asked.
"I think I'm done crying and hurting myself- at least I hope," I answered.
"Good," he said, "Because..." Chase's phone went off, "We have a mission alert! Let's get suited up!"
I started to use my super speed to get to my capsule, but I rammed into the not yet opened door.
"Ow," I moaned.
"Maybe you should walk," Chase suggested.
"Maybe I should," I replied, walking to the mentor quarters with him.
"I wonder where Leo is and what he's doing," Chase mused.
"One would wonder..." I replied.

Leo
I was beginning to feel like we were diving in circles.
"Mom," I asked, "Where are we going?"
"Do you want to know that badly?" Mom replied.
"Yes," I confirmed, like it was the most obvious thing in the history of the world.
"Ok you got me," she confessed, "I have no idea."
Just then, my phone went off.
"It's Janelle," I explained, reading the text, "And she wants to meet me at her house at seven! How dare she try to trick me like this again!"
My phone went off again.
"This is not me trying to trick you again," I read, "Well alrighty then! It's a date!"
"Glad you feel that way," Mom said, "Now let's use the money I stole from Donald's secure vault to get a hotel room and dinner before your visit with Janelle, shall we?"
I smiled. Maybe this won't be so bad.

Bree
I stepped out of the hydra loop with Adam and Chase.
"Wow," I said, "This mission was so different without Leo."
"Yeah," Adam agreed, "I almost got killed ten times instead of five!"
"I know," Chase continued, "I never truly realized how much we depended on Leo, even during those few hours when Tasha kicked Leo off the team."
"I just need something to get my mind off of this!" I complained, wracking my brain for a solution to the Leo problem. Suddenly, my phone rang.
"Like that?" Chase asked.
"Yep," I confirmed, "And it's Garrett! Maybe he's asking me out!!!"
"Don't get your hopes up," Adam contradicted, "I'm the stupid one, not him."
All of a sudden, my phone vibrated. The notification read, "Missed Call."
My phone vibrated again.
The text read, "If what Leo says is true that you have a ten second reply time to whenever Caitlin texts, then how come you miss my one call!"
"Bree," Chase said slowly, "This is when you call him back and apologize."
"I know what to do when I miss a call!" I protested angrily.
My phone vibrated a third time.
"Hello?" The text said, "Anyone home in Bree-ville? Or Bree-world? Or Bree-brain?"
"Now are you going to call back and apologize?" Chase asked.
"One step ahead of you," I mused, dialing the number.
"Hello?" I greeted cheerfully when he answered.
"Bree!" he replied, " We need to talk."

Garrett
I had just gotten out off my bike at the Golden Gate Bridge Cafe when Bree super speeded right there.
"Well that's convenient," I remarked bluntly.
Laughing lightly at my comment, she remarked, "This isn't very romantic."
And I'm the blunt one.
"Why should it be?" I asked.
"So I can remember that my first 100% successful relationship was nothing but romantic," she explained.
"Why would I date you?" I asked, "I mean, no offense, there are much less attractive girls out there, but why would I date a girl half way across the world from me?" Wow. This conversation is nothing but blunt.
"Then why else would you call me and tell me to meet somewhere?" Bree asked.
"I'll get you a coffee," I said.

Once we sat down at the table, I asked Bree, "Have you been reading the news lately?"
"No," she replied, sipping on her Carmel Macchiato, "Why?"
I pulled out my iPad from my backpack and opened the news app. The headline screamed, "DESTRUCTIVE CRIMES RUN SAVAGE IN MISSION CREEK: AND ARE BIONICS TO BLAME?"
"What?!" Bree exclaimed, doing a spit take. I then quickly wiped off my face.
"There has been random destruction all over Mission Creek," I explained, "Nothing's been stolen, and no one's been compromised, but it looks like the person responsible has bionics."
"So why are you telling me?" Bree asked, "I'm bionic. Mr. Davenport and Douglas aren't."
"I know that you know the students at the academy better than Donald and Douglas do," I reasoned, "And none of your abilities match. According to my research, the only bionic superhuman that has no matching abilities. That's why I can trust you."
"So you want me to find our destroyer?" Bree clarified.
"Yes," I confirmed.
"I'll do my best," she said, "And thanks for the coffees. Though iced coffees are so overrated. You should try macchiatos." With that, Bree sped off back to the academy. I stuffed my tablet and the rest of my iced coffee into my backpack and left the cafe.

Adam
When Bree stepped out of the hydra loop, she wasn't beaming or smiling her face off.
"He rejected you, didn't he," I accused.
Bree turned red and mumbled something about having to go and sped off.
"I called it Chase, boo yah!" I whooped, and we high fived. There was nothing better than watching Bree fail at getting a boyfriend. Or throwing Chase across the room.
Just then, Spin ran in to the commons area.
"Bob levitated to a foot high and now is too scared to get down," Spin explained.
I nodded at Chase and ran off to help Bob.
After I took ten minutes in getting Bob onto the ground, the island suddenly shook.
"What was that?" Bob asked.
"The whole island just shook!" Spin exclaimed.
The island shook again, this time more violently.
"I'm going to get Bree and Chase," I said and ran to the mentor quarters.
I saw Bree there, but not Chase.
"Where's Chase?" I asked.
"I don't know!" Bree answered, "I searched the whole island!"
The island shook a third time, making Bree and I fall down.
"Hydra Loop Disconnected," said the wall console.
"Wait, so we're stuck on the island?" Bree asked.
"Mentor Quarters Door Compromise," the wall console said again.
"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked.
"Building Four Water Breach," said the wall console a third time. And it started.
The roof over the door caved in, smashing the wall console and the easiest way to the rest of the island.
The view window shattered, taking the roof with it, causing a chain reaction that cut off our outside access.
I looked down and saw water spreading across the floor.
Our capsules imploded.
The kitchenette got taken out by a chunk of concrete.
The water started getting deeper.
It was ice cold.
I looked at Bree, and saw fear clouding her eyes.
We hugged each other.
The water was up to my ankles.
My knees.
My waist.
My chest.
A tear escaped my eye.
Was this the end?

Wow.

Now, as you can see, this has been written in a slightly different style.
Chapter Seventeen will go back to what I have been writing, but this chapter is different in another way than what might currently meet the eye.
My next update will not be Chapter Seventeen.
I wanted to cram so much stuff into this chapter that it couldn't fit into one. And I wanted to give you guys something to actually read. So Chapter Sixteen Part Two will cover Leo and Janelle, the Mission Creek destruction, and whatever just happened on the island with Adam and Bree. I hope this was a sufficient enough cliff hanger.

Also, if you have voted for my story or put it on one of your reading lists and you do not have a follow from me, then if you want another follower, comment or pm me @ajmdoggie and I will follow you.

Anyway, I hoped you liked this and get ready for part two!

Bear With Me.
Stay Awesome.
Enjoy.
Ajmdoggie.
