"Mom!" I complained, "Just because the turkey isn't perfect doesn't mean that Leo's gonna try to laser your face off!" My mom glared at me. "Again," I corrected.
"Just set the table and let me stress on my own," she said. I nodded and went out to the dining room. I shoved my trigonometry and biochemistry homework back into my backpack and put it in my room. I came back, put on our turkey table runner, and lit the candles that were in various places around the room. I put out the plates, silverware, and cups, making sure that our guest of honour, the bionic hero, Leo Dooley, got plastic.
The doorbell rang, and I got it, hoping my mom wouldn't pass out. It was Leo.
"Hey!" I said.
"High five!" Leo said, and when I went up to do it, he changed his hand into a fist.
"Turkey!" he exclaimed, and we laughed.
"Cutest couple of the day!" Mom called, "Dinner's ready!""Man, this is excellent!" Leo complemented heavily.
"Makes you thankful you have friends, doesn't it," I said.
"Yeah. Sometimes it's good to get away from the island."
"Well, I just have the feeling that something's missing." Leo got up and hugged me.
"And that feeling's gone."

November 22, 2015Hey everyone!
Sorry this chapter's so short, but I have an excuse.I'm starting a new story based on Bionic Action Hero and beyond called After Giselle. However, it's a bit overwhelming.
I'm not putting this story on hold or anything, but the updates may get shorter.
Also, happy early thanksgiving!
Thanks,
Ajmdoggie
