Chapter 17: 1st Night- Day Class Prefect

Deat readers, it has been a while since I've updated, you have my sincere apologies. I don't really have access to a computer most of the time, like I've said in my message to all followers, and I do have a life outside of fanfictions.

Disclaimer: I do not own Vampire Knight, or any of the other characters except for my OC(s). It rightfully belongs to Hino Matsuri-sensei.

A year passed by quickly, and Yuki and Zero finally became highschoolers. It was a good thing that Zero finally agreed to go to high school!

As for the incident labelled as 'The Fangirls Incident' by Ichijo, well, no one was able to spread any rumours, due to the fangirls being shocked and traumatised by their idols, well, not really, their memories were erased, and there were still rumours, just a few, about Night Class members being transferred over to the Day Class to do research and observe them, by some hopeful fangirls, and then it passed on to the underclassmen and then the freshmen. But then again, they don't really have much to prove this claim, so the rumours continue to spread, as rumours.

Its time to switch classes. As usual, the fangirls are as noisy as ever.

"Hey, quit shoving!"

"Oh, I wish they'd come out now!"

"All right, everybody! Please step back!" Yuki exclaimed, trying to barricade the fangirls.

"Day class! Watch your curfew, all of you must return to your dorms immediately!"

Meanwhile, while waiting for the gates to open, Yami yawned, rubbing her eye blearily.

"Not enough sleep, Yami-chan?" Ichijo asked, concerned, as he reached out and pat her head. He would have loved to ruffle her hair, but Kaname would have sent him a death glare, not that he'll be affected, but then again, they all have to look presentable since there are Day Class students right outside the gates...

"Mm.... They're noisy..." Yami said as she pushed Ichijo's hand away and stifled another yawn.

"Get out of the way, councillor!" the fangirls exclaimed, pushing against Yuki.

That's when the gates finally opened.

"Kyaah! There they are!" The fangirls squealed in excitement. They are as noisy as usual...

Yami slowly walked with Ichijo, ignoring the even louder squeals of excitement as Aido stirred the crowd up with his usual flirting.

This caused the over excited crowd to rush towards him, causing Yuki to fall.

Yami's eye twitched in annoyance as she was about to make her way to Yuki to help her up, and perhaps teach the fangirls a lesson or two. However, the idea was lost when Ichijo clapsed Yami's hand with his, shaking his head and then flashing a smile at her, reassuring her that Yuki will be fine and Kaname would handle the situation on hand. Yami sighed softly, allowing Ichijo to lead her to a side as they watch how Kaname handles the situation.

Kaname helped Yuki up, conversing with her until Zero showed up, grabbing his wrist harshly, away from Yuki. He glared menacingly at Kaname, and reminded him that it was time for class.

As they proceeded to leave, Zero's eyes met with Yami's. He narrowed his eyes at her as she nodded at him and then turn around and left with the others, aware that his eyes never left her back.

Yami lowered her head so that her face would be shadowed, and continued walking to class. Ichijo merely placed his hand on top of her head in a comforting way, as they continued their way to class.

It can't be helped that Zero feels betrayed that she has become a vampire, a beast hiding under human skin----- afterall, it has been a year since she was transformed, though not completely, since her blood continues to reject the vampire side of her, which she still doesn't know.
