Chapter 24: Kurenai Maria

I ain't gonna apologise anymore [probably], since I always update late.

Well, the chapter ain't a special chapter anymore. There's just an omake at the back about Ruka's POV. That's bout it...

The next morning, Kurenai Maria is up to her mischief again.

She had left the Moon Dormitory to explore the school, while the Day Class are still around, leaving Ichijo to chase her around, trying to stop her, but to no avail.

"You can't go there! The Day Class students are still around! Maria!"

It was too late for him to realise that he had raised his voice while trying to stop Maria, thus attractng the Day Class students around—— especially the girls.

"Oh man, this is going to be a big problem.."

Ichijo muttered as he looked uneasily aroud them, as more and more Day Class students started gatherig.

"What a fuss you're making! I just want to take a peek at the cafe terrasse, that's all. Tee hee... This is way too much fun...!" Maria giggled as she darted off again.

"Maria!" Ichijo called out, exasperated, before he started chasing her, and in turn, get chased by the Day Class girls.

Yuki thought to go after them in order to help, but things got worse as one Aido Hanabusa turned up,and hugged Yuki to himself, thus antagonizing the rest of the female population who haven't gone to chase Ichijo down.

He then left with Zero to talk, and left Yuki to escape the enraged girls.

When she finally escaped, she met Ichijo, who was also hiding from the fangirls.

"Where's Maria?" Yuki asked, to which Ichijo responded with a sweatdrop on his head.

"She... escaped while the Day Class students were chasing me..."

"Escaped...? I guess you've been having a really hard time too, senpai. Never knew you had to do stuff like that..." She said as she sweatdropped.

"Not at all. It's just that Kaname... Well... It's not just me. If Kaname wishes something to be done... Any other class member would do it too." Ichijo rubbed the back of his head sheepishly before his expression turned sombre as he continued in a grim tone.

"Pureblooded vampires possess an unknown number of special abilities... One of them is the ability to command the other normal vampires around them. He could very well order us around like some big shot... But Kaname desn't want to do that sort of thing. And that's why I try to take on the unpleasant tasks whenever I can." He let out a chuckle and a sigh when he reached the last few sentences, cupping a hand on his cheek.

"Ichijo-senpai..."

Up till now, Yuki hadn't known the extent of their friendship, and just by listening to how Ichijo talks about Kaname, made her happy, not just because she found something new about Kaname, but also why everyone looks up to Kaname like that.

Kaname really is kind...

After Maria listened in on Aido and Zero's conversation, she left, but only to meet wih Yami this time.

When she met Yami, Maria's eyes were widened. If not for being a pureblood, her mouth would have probably be agaped with incredulity. She quickly composed herself before addressing her.
