Well, there's a reaaaalllllllly long Author's note at the end of this chapter, which kinda says what I've been up to lately and what I'm going to uload next, sort of. Up to you to read, I guess.
The next day, Kaname went to visit Chairman Cross before Night Class begins, with Ruka 'accompanying' ------- escorting him to the office, before she headed back to class.
"Hi, Kaname... I had a feeling that you'd come visit me today." Chairman Cross said, as he stood up from his chair.
As Kaname closed the door shut, he did not hesitate to jump straight to the point, his expression solemn.
"Chairman Cross.. How long do you intend to let Kiryu Zero stay in the day Class? He's about to reach that turning point... The time is near..."
Taking the chance since Kaname is busy with his talk with the Chairman, some of the Night Class students, mainly his biggest fans, confronted Zero. Well, Kain was actually there to try to persuade the others not to go too far, while Shiki and Rima were there just because they're bored. It came as a rather big shock that Aido didn't join them, stating that he'd rather stay in class. Well, he has been feeling a bit under the weather and acting slightly weirdly for a while, so they concluded that he probably didn't want to incure Kaname-sama's wrath for a while, and went off on their own.
Author's note: Aido didn't appear in the manga, so yeah, deal with it? Haha.
Well, they had been half right, sort of. Aido had been acting a little weird for a while. It wasn't like he 'didn't want to incure Kaname-sama's wrath', since he did it almost all the time, but he hasn't been paying attention and he didn't even notice the bunch of Kaname fans walk out of class.
His thoughts are currently focused on Yami. He had been thinking for a while, and Yami's condition worries him, not that he knows everything about her situation, only that her body is rather weak and that she tends to sleep a lot. She also seems to have a sort of intimate relationship with Kaname, from the blood drinking incidents she had with Kaname. Ichijo seems to be somehow involved as well, but isn't revealing much.
And from the incident-which-shall-never-be-spoken-to-anyone that he and Kain agreed on----- That time when they entered her room and seen her dressed unappropriately and attacked Aido[refer to chapter 22]-------- he concluded that she tends to get really thirsty at times, unlike the rest of them, though he still doesn't understand why. And he plans to find out why, as he observes as Ichijo attempts to wake a napping Yami in the classroom.
Meanwhile...
"What are you up to... Night Class students?" Zero questions as he pointed his gun at Ruka's neck.
The Night Class students who had skipped class had cornered Zero, and it doesn't take a genius to notice the animosity rolling off them in waves.
"I fail to undersand why Kaname-sama is so kind to human beings like you... You won't get away from this!" Ruka replied, while glaring at Zero.
"Don't let your jealousy get the better of you. And that applies to everyone, including Ruka." Kain attempted to diffuse the tension around everyone, before adding, "Leader Kuran won't be happy if he hears about this."
[Author's Note: Was going to use Dorm Leader Kuran, but that seems really long, so I just put Leader Kuran.]
He then turned to Zero, trying to placate him.
"Come now... Kiryu, put that thing away... Huh?"
Zero responded by grabbing Kain's shoulder, and flipped him to the ground, resounding in a 'thump' as Kain landed on the ground.
