I wake up at the break of dawn. I look to my left and Micah is extremely close to me. I roll onto my stomach and sigh. I start to hear moans coming from the trees in front of me.
"Crap." I whisper. I stand up just in time. The first zombie pops out of the woods. I get my gun out and shoot it in the head. Micah jumps and gets up. "What's going on?" He asks
"We need to leave.. NOW!" I scream. I start running as fast as I can. I don't even bother looking back to make sure Micah was with me. I hear lots of moans now and I can also hear lots of leaves crumbling behind me. I stop and turn around. Thankfully Micah was right behind me. Unfortunately more than one hundred zombies were after us. I point my gun and shoot three in the head. But more just take their place.
"This isn't good." Micah says
"No, I thought it was good." I say sarcastically. "I think we should run again." I turn and start running again. I really don't know where I'm running to. I just hope it's safety. I glance back and the zombies are closing in. Before I can look forward again I run into something. I look up.
"Damon?" I squeak. He look at me with a serious face.
"Get behind me." He says.
"What?" I ask surprised.
"Get behind me!" He demands this time. I do as he says and get behind him. Micah stands with me. Damon grabs two zombies by the throat and rams their heads into the tree beside us. I feel like I should be doing something so I get from behind him and point my gun and shoot. Damon glances at me but keeps killing the zombies. Finally Micah joins in. With the three of us we kill all the zombies in 20 minutes.
"Who is he?" Asks Damon.
"I'm Micah." He speaks up. Damon glares at him.
"Where is everyone?" I ask.
"Austin is gone but everyone else is fine." Damon replies.
"What happened to Austin?" I ask. Damon looks away from me.
"Damon what did you do?!" I ask franticly.
"I killed him." He simply says. I sigh. Of course he did. He just doesn't know when to stop. He looks me in the eyes and I get lost in them. He softly smiles. I start to smile back but catch myself and look away. He wants to kill me, I can't fall for him. I glance at him and he's frowning at me. Why would he care if I didn't smile at him?
"We should go." I say to break the tension.
