Chapter 27 (Damon)

I was happy to see Tabby safe and sound. What the heck? Did I really just say that? I tried to kill her that is my job. I can't be falling for her. But I think I might be. I glare at the boy. I get a bad vibe from him, like he's keeping a secret. I need to somehow tell Tabby about this. What am I saying? I can't get close to her, but I feel like I need to protect her. 

"Come on, lets go." I say and wait for them to start walking. Micah smiles at Tabby and puts his hand on her back to get her moving. I growl. Micah glances back and smirks. The growl grows deeper. I'm going to kill him for touching her. There I go again wanting to protect her. Get it together Damon. I start walking behind them. 

"So how did you survive the fall, Tabby?" I ask. 

"Micah found me and saved me." She replies.

"Yup, I was her knight in shining armor." He says and smiles at her. She smiles back. I growl again lowly. I need to control myself. We come to a clearing in the woods, the same clearing where everyone is. Everyone was talking in a circle,but when we appeared they all got quiet and freeze, looking in our direction. We continue walking. 

"Tabby?!" Parker crys. She runs over and hugs Tabby. Tabby hugs back and they start crying. 

"I thought I would never see you again." Parker chokes out and glares at me. I look down at the grass. 

"It's nice to see you." Niall and Isabel say at the same time. I look over at Gabby and she's silent, keeping to herself. I can see her pulse beating from here. I lick my lips. With no one looking it would be easy to take her down. I walk over to her. 

"So, how are you doing?" I ask. She shrugs. 

"Perfect." I say. I clamp my hand over her mouth and sink my teeth into her neck. I sigh. This is what I needed. I feel soo much better. 

"HEY! Get your teeth out of her!!" Isabel yells at me. It's too late though. The little alien girl is almost dry. All of a sudden I feel a sharp pain in my back. I look down and blood is coming out of my chest. I gasp for breath. I let the girl fall and fall to my knees. I look at my hands and they are turning grey. I fight for breath. Before I close my eyes I see Tabby running to me. 

(Tabby) 

"What did you do?!" I demand. Isabel looks at me. 

"I killed him, isn't that what you wanted?" She asks. I shake my head and grab the stake and pull it out. 

"Come on Damon." I say. The color starts coming back to him. 

"What are you doing?" Parker asks. I ignore her and put a hand on Damon's cheek. He gasps and opens his eyes. They land on my face. 

"Tabby?" He asked. "You saved me." I slightly nod and smile. He smiles back. 

"Thanks." He says. I nod again. I get up and he follows. He keeps his eyes on me. 

"Why did you do that??" Asks Isabel. 

"I don't know." I say looking into Damon's eyes.
