After eating, I watch as Micah and Isabel disappear behind the trees together. I look over at Tabby. She is deep in conversation with Parker. I get up and go through the trees after them. I hear Isabel laughing in the distance. When I get closer I hide behind a tree. Micah put his hand on Isabel's cheek. He kisses her forehead, both cheeks, then finally her lips. A growl erupts from my throat. Micah looks my way but shrugs it off and gets back to kissing with one of Tabby's best friends. I am so done. I've seen enough. I walk to the others. I grab Tabby's arm and pull her up.
"We need to talk." I say through clenched teeth. I let her go and she follows me to the other side of the woods.
"What's going on?" She asks, concerned.
"Your little boyfriend is sucking face with Isabel." I abruptly stop to face her.
"What are you talking about?" She asks. "They went to look for food."
"Unless the food was in their mouths, they were not looking for food." I reply. She rolls her eyes.
"You don't believe me do you?" I ask. She shakes her head. I sigh, frustrated.
"Of course." I say. "While we are here I need target practice." I look around and find a bow and some arrows laying on the ground. I pick them up and hand them to Tabby. I walk over to a big rock in between two trees. She follows.
"I don't know how to use this." She admits.
"Just try." I say. "Shoot that tree." I point to the one in front of us. She grabs an arrow and gets it ready. She pulls the string back then let's it go. The arrow hits the target perfectly. She grins and looks at me. I have to grin with her.
"I can love you like that." I say. She looks at me confused.
"I would make you my world." I smile at her. "Move heaven and earth if you were my girl." I can see from the look on her face that she knows what song I'm taking lyrics from.
"I will give my heart." I say as I poke her stomach. She laughs.
"Stop." She says as she try's to stop laughing.
"Be all that you need." I poke her a couple more times. She gently pushes me away.
"Show you you're everything that's precious to me." She laughs.
"Stop it." She pushes me away. I laugh with her. "Your attracting attention." I look and yes I am. Zombies are coming toward us. I look at her again.
"If you give me a chance." I finish. "I can love you like that." She looks me in the eyes and smiles. I can see the love in them. I snap out of it when I hear moans. Tabby gets the bow ready and shots some in the head with it. She grins. I can see that she is proud of herself. I go and snack on the others. She looks at me with disgust.
"That's nasty." She says. I shrug.
"Blood is blood." I reply. I take her hand and we walk to the others.
"So, you really don't believe me?" I ask. She looks up at me.
"I do, but my conscience says I shouldn't." She says. I stop and look down at her.
"Just be careful around him okay?"
"I will." She replies. I bend down and kiss her cheek. I start walking and glance back to see her smiling.
