Ch 18: 'Observing'

MK'S POV: I tryed not to spill or drop any noodles on the floor as I walked towards the healthcare room. I made it to the health room and stopped at the door. 'GAH!- IM SO EMBARRASSED! But I need to do this! It's not like Redson knows about what I did... BUT IT'S STILL EMBARRASSING!' This little war continued to go on in my head before I had enough and pushed the door open with my head since my hands were full. I walked in and walked up to the table next to Redsons bed and placed the noodle bowls on it. Once that was done I turned my attention to Redson, he was twitching in his sleep... I think. "Redson are you awake?" I asked as he jotted awake and started looking around startled. He soon stopped finding out it was just me. "Noodle boy."

REDSONS POV: Last night let's just say that I didn't have the right mind. After the screaming, the arguing, the hard metal floor, the never ending tears, and the looks of pity I received from everyone. I didn't think about it but now it was starting to set in and Noodle boy was the last person I wanted to see. "What do you want? To laugh at me? To brag that you came out on top? To cause me more misery than everyone already has?" I snapped. He looked relieved but that was short. "Huh No, no, I just wanted to check up on you after... y'know.... yesterday." Noodle boy responded calmly. It wasn't, that was the last thing I wanted to hear and just those words alone made me want to cry. Its just more proof that my own mother doesn't care about me.

MK'S POV: I saw him flinch "oh how kind of you, the Monkie kid caring about me pft- I don't need your pity and I sure hell don't want it so if you can just leave me alone it would do both of us a big favor." "I can't just leave you here by yourself and besides I got you some noodles so well... you can eat. I haven't seen you eat so I got you some noodles." I pointed out as I grabbed the yellow bowl full of noodles and held it out in front of him so he could grab it. He looked at the noodles, it looked like he was about to take it but he blinked hardly and pushed the bowl away "I already told you peasant I don't want your pity and I'm not hungry." I started to feel my anger rise. "Why won't you let me do something for you? I'm not offering out of pity I'm offering to be nice!" Redson glared at me "now you want to help me- You know what you can help by leaving me alone!" I stopped for a second. The words 'oh now you want to help me' taunted me for a second "I've helped you a tone! What do you mean by 'oh now you want to help' I've cared and thanked you this whole journey-" "I NEVER ASKED YOU TOO! Now leave me alone!"
"How is that going to help!?" "JUST GO AWAY, LEAVE ME ALONE! YOU NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT WHEN WE DEFEATED THE LADY BONE DEMON!!" Redson shouted at me. I froze, I tryed to hide the fact that I was hiding my tears. I could see tears start to form in his eyes as well. I frowned and pulled up a chair next to Redsons bed. After multiple attempts of me trying to muster anything out I finally did. "well I'm here now and I want to help you! and no, I'm not leaving so suck it up and stop being so stubborn! Now I am going to force feed you or your going to eat the noodles, WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!" I yelled, he looked at me shocked before flinching. I immediately felt bad for yelling. "Oh my buddha I-im so sorry Redson I didn't mean to yell but you should REALLY eat some food. you can feed yourself but please just eat please?" He didn't say anything. I put the bowl in front of him again. He glared at the bowl before he reluctantly took it along with a pair of chopsticks I gave him. I soon grabbed my bowl and some chopsticks as well. "I hope it's not to spicy." I announced but I don't think he heard me because he started to devour the noodles in the matter of minutes. He had eaten the whole bowl as I sat there staring at him in disbelief as I munched on the last bits of my noodles "May I help you Noodle Boy?" He asked annoyedly, he wasn't looking at me so my guess is that he shot a quick glance at me to see me staring. "oh- sorry it's just... HOW DID YOU DO THAT!? I dumped a whole bottle of hot sauce in there because I know you like things spicy and you just ate it like if it was a simple peppermint!" "Well what did you expect, I'm a fire prince! If I can't handle a little bit of spice then I'm a disgrace to my element." Redson muttered, he didn't look at me once this whole time and that still didn't change. He turned the other way right after I gave him the bowl of noodles... I think I said something to hurt him... " well... true but that isn't just 'a little Spice' I'm impressed!" He didn't awnser. It was quite of a few seconds before Redson spoke up. "Well thanks I guess... I appreciate that you put hot sauce in there." Redson mumbled, turning around to face me. He was fidgeting with the blanket right next to him. "No problem Redson! I'm just glad you ate." I admitted with a smile. "Here let me take your bowl back to the small kitchen." I reached for his bowl but I ended up missing because he passed the bowl to me causing the bowl to smack in my face. Which hurt! "OW!" I shrieked unitenionly. The room fell into silence until "ppPFFFTTT!" Redson broke into laughter as he removed the bowl from my face. I just froze and looked at him in shock. 'I've never seen him actually laugh... His laugh is so beautiful, I can listen it for hours. And he looks so hot and charming.' I blushed and looked down at the floor, avoiding his cute, hot face. "Hehe... Are you okay?" Redson asked wiping a tear, looking at me. 'AND HE STILL ASKS IF IM OKAY! OH CELESTIAL REALM HE'S GOING GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK!!' I blushed harder, I was so flustered. Even if he was just laughing at me, I felt like my heart was going to explode. I quickly snapped out of thoughts to awnser. "W-who-me-oh-im-fine-HAHA." I felt my face steaming. I bet my whole face was redder than Redson hair. I was trying to avoid eye contact as well. "Are you embarrassed? Is the great Monkie kid embarrassed?" Redson teased. I looked up at him, I could see he was trying to hold in a laugh. "W-WHAT NO! No I'm not! Here just give me your bowl!" He chuckled and gave me his almost empty noodle bowl. "That was funny but please don't make me laugh. That hurt a lot." He growled. I got up with the two bowls and gave an awkward smile "hehe- sorry.... well umm I'll see you later." He looked at me and I looked at him, we both made eye contact and almost emedatly looked away. "Bye." Redson muttered laying back. I blushed and walked out of the room. Once I stepped out I was jumped scared by Mei. She was just standing there giggling and smiling the same bubbly smile she's had since forever. "MEI!- What are you doing here!?" "Oh come on Mk! Pigsy told me if you had finished your noodles in are room when I woke up and walked into the kitchen. You weren't in the room when I woke up and you weren't in the kitchen so the only other place you could possibly be at is this one and I was right!" Mei cheered. "I also found out that you don't just have a crush on Redson you have BBIIIGGGG crush on him!" I felt my face flare up but I shook it off. "H-hey! No I don't! He hadn't eaten in a while so I just wanted to help him and do something nice for him!" I corrected, blushing slightly more than before. "Hehe okay suuurrrreee whatever you say Mk- LET ME SEE!" "Wha- NO, MEI!" I blocked her from entering the room. "What? Are you hiding something? *GASP* DID YOU GUYS HAVE SEX?!" She started to smush her face in the small crack between my arm and the door. Trying to get in. I felt my face go beet red at Mei's ocusation. "W-WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT!? NO! I just don't want him to be disturbed- what if he's asleep!" I yelled. Mei backed away from me and the door. "Oh stop caring for him Mk. He won't be asleep you barley walked out of the room. Pleaseee let me see." Mei did her puppy eyes at me. "N-no Mk m-must resist the cuteness..." I tryed not to look at her adorable puppy eyes but failed miserably. I sighed, giving into the cuteness. "Fine! But only a peak! No going into the room." "OKAY!" She exclaimed as we both stuck are heads through the door. I saw Redsons chest slowly rising and falling signaling that he was asleep. "Aww so you guys didn't have sex after all." Mei huffed sadly. I completely ignored her. I couldn't help but smile at how peaceful he looked. The truth is that I've always seen Redson attractive but I never really told anyone, besides Mei. The guy was supposed to be my enemy for the love of buddha! I couldn't just say 'hey guys I'm in love with my enemy!'- NO! I'm not even sure if he likes me back! He doesn't show much interest in me anyways, I can't just ask him to be my boyfriend! Besides I'd probably get rejected we barely just started talking again! But I've liked him for so long it's unbelievable! *sigh* I closed the door and checked my watch to see the time, 7:59am. 'Oh buddha! How did time fly by so quickly!?' I asked myself in my head. 'I guess I must've been standing there, staring at him for longer than I thought. Mei's even gone!... EW I'M SO CREEPY WHY DID I DO THAT?!" I kept trying to explain to myself how that could happen. Shortly after I walked into the kitchen-like-room that we just named 'the small kitchen'. I walked over to the sink and placed the two noodle bowls in it. Then I walked over to the table and sat down, not taking a glance to see if anyone was there or if anyone was talking to me. 'FEW- I'm so glad that Redson didn't wake up. Who knows what I'd done if he woke up and caught me creepily peeking into the healthcare room to watch him sleep. When I clearly said I was leaving. No, that makes me sound even more creepier... I... I was checking on him! Yeah that's good! I was making sure he was.... um.... who am I kidding I was totally starting at him for like 7 minutes. How did he even fall asleep so quickly? He must've been really tired. Poor Redson.' ".....k!......MK!!" Tang yelled still in the same spot I saw him in earlier this morning. But this time Mei was sitting next to him and they both had a bowl of noodles. "What has gotten into you?" "Sorry Tang I just spaced out there haha... what did you say again?" I asked "I simply asked how did you sleep? Since I didn't ask you earlier." I panicked at the word sleep. "Sleep!? What Nonono I-wasn't-watching-him-sleep-I-didn't-do-anything-in-the-bathroom-who-told-you-that!?" Tang and Mei looked at me incredibly confused faces. "Uh... W-what I meant to say was I slept great." I sputtered. Tang and Mei looked at eachother in confusion. "I don't know but I left him after I called his name for the fifth time." Mei shrugged, slurping on her noodles. "Sorry Mei...." It went quite except for Mei's slurping. "Um... so have Macaque and Princess Iorn Fan come back yet?" I mentioned. "No not yet... I haven't seen them." Tang awnsered. "WELL THEY BETTER! Now that it's the big day they bail on us! And know that we know Snake demon is super strong they better come back! This whole adventure has been so wild so far. I'm so glad that it's gonna end, and that were gonna save Monkey King... and... and he's gonna be okay and everything will go back to normal like before." "What do you mean by before?... are you okay?" Tang said, he sounded concerned and confused. "Yeah it's nothing!" I put on a fake smile and smiled at him. I looked over at Mei right after. 'she knows why I said that.' I thought as I watched her finish the last bits of noodles she had left. "No but seriously I'm so not excited to walk the whole way after this." Mei said, putting the empty bowl on the table. We all started laughing, soon Pigsy joined us. Now all we had to do was wait till we arrived to Monkey Kings home aka Flower fruit mountain then the real adventure begins... though I'm a little worried, we barely survived the easy part of the journey so how would we do in the hard part of the journey?
