It was a big night in Hill Street Neighborhood. Huckleberry Hound was performing a big sold out show tonight, and the crowd was going crazy to see him! In his dressing room, Huck was wearing his favorite red bow tie, and yellow straw hat with an orange band around it, looking in the mirror. With him was Pixie, who was spraying some perfume on him. While he sprayed the perfume, Huck turned the bottle in his direction, and perfume sprayed all over the little mouse.

"Hey! What was that for?" he wondered.

That made Huck laugh. He found his little joke to be pretty funny. Then he suddenly felt his nose twitch.

"Ah...ah...AH-CHOO!!"

"Gesundheit!" Pixie cried.

"Thanks Pixie!"

Just then, Huck heard a voice calling for him.

"You're on, Mr. Hound!"

Huck adjusted his bow tie, grabbed his can, and headed out the door. "It's showtime!" he called.

On stage, an announcer came up to the mic. "Ladies and gentlemen," he announced. "I present to you, everyone's favorite hound dog, Mr. Huckleberry Hound!"

The crowd applauded as Huck took the stage, and started dancing and singing.

"Well, now, if you've got a cutie who's a real sweet patootie

better keep it under your hat

Just remember curiousity in fables of old

Killed the curious cat

Supposin' you love a laddie who's a sweet sugar daddy

Better take in the welcoming mat

Remember there's a dozen dolls for every Dan

You're not the only sweet pea in the can

So, if you wanna know the way to keep your man

Keep it under your hat

Keep it under your hat!

If you wanna know the way to keep your man

Keep it under your hat

Keep it under your hat!

Keep it under your hat!"

As the song finished, the crowd erupted with cheers and applause as Huck bowed. That night after Huck finished his show and started heading home, he thought to himself, "What a show! I sure wowed them tonight!"

But then, all of a sudden, a big wind started blowing. Huck held onto his hat as he walked down the block. But the wind got stronger and stronger. Huck didn't know if he could keep up.

"Oh no!!" he shouted. "Come back, hat!!"

Huck's hat had blown off of his head, and into the sky. Huck chased it all around town to see if he could catch it. But it was too late. The hat had landed in a tree and hit a branch, puncturing a big hole in it.

"NO!!!!" Huck screamed as he ran towards the branch. He then grabbed the hat and looked at it sadly.

"My hat!" he cried. "It's ripped! Now I don't have a hat for the show! Now what am I gonna do?"

When he got home, he was trying to find a way to get another hat, when he read a newspaper article for a new hat store that just opened in Hill Street Neighborhood. He thought he could go there first thing in the morning, and that's just what he did! He got up nice and early, and went straight to the hat store for a new hat. He saw many different kinds of hats sitting on the shelves.
