One morning, Huckleberry Hound and Mr. Jinks were looking at toys at the toy store. Huck loved playing with toys sometimes, since he liked to let his inner pup loose. He loved looking at the dolls, tricycles, bouncy balls, teddy bears, and even the rubber duckies.

"Ahh, I sure have a lot of fun lookin' at all these toys," he sighed happily. "Reminds me of good times when I was a youngun."

He soon found a familiar box with a handle on the side. The box was made of tin and decorated with stars. Huck picked it up and began to turn the handle, as the familiar tune of "Pop Goes the Weasel" began to play.

"Hey! I know what this is!" he beamed. Then he snuck over to Jinks and started turning the handle again.

"What are you doing, Huck?" Jinks asked.

Huck snickered in reply as he kept turning the handle. Sproing! A silly-looking clown popped out of the box, startling Jinks.

"YEOW!!" the cat hollered.

Huck burst out laughing. "Relax, Jinksey! It's just a little ol' jack-in-the-box!"

Jinks looked at the clown and flicked it with his finger. "You really startled me, Huck!"

"Aw, it's all in good fun," Huck replied. "Lighten up a little! Have yourself a laugh!"

Before Jinks could say anything else, they heard the sound of a small whistle from somewhere nearby. Curious, they ran over to a display nearby, where they saw a model train going around a little track! It chugged over a little bridge and through a little tunnel and then came back around again in a circle.

"Ain't that cute?" Huck smiled. "Little ol' choo-choo train!" He started imitating the sound of a train as the toy came around the track in front of him again. "Chugga-chugga...choo-choo!!" He started to laugh again.

"Look at these tricycles, Huck!" Jinks beamed. "We probably wouldn't fit on them, but they sure look cute!"

"Maybe we could if we balanced on one!" Huck replied. "Heck, we ought to try one of those little tricycle tricks on the show! Maybe while we're introducin' the next cartoon!"

"That is if we have enough money!" Jinks chuckled.

They soon came over to a shelf where they saw lots of dolls and teddy bears.

"Awwww, look at these cute little teddy bears!" Huck cried as he grabbed one and gave it a hug. "They're so soft!" He turned to Jinks. "You know, I actually still have my own teddy bear from when I was a pup!"

"You do?"

"Yep! I still love giving him lots of hugs!"

They then looked at a shelf where they saw some pogo sticks.

"Golly, jumping on a pogo stick looks like fun!" Huck cried. "Jinks, I think I wanna get a pogo stick!"

"I don't see why not," Jinks grinned. "They're only five bucks! Let's get you one!"

"YAY!!!" Huck cheered.

He then ran over to the manager to get him one of the pogo sticks from the shelf. He picked a bright blue one since that was his favorite color, and it was the same shade of blue as his fur. He then paid for the pogo stick, and he and Jinks left the toy store, and went to the park to try it out.

"I can;t wait to start bouncing on this thing!" Huck beamed.

"Well, okay...I suppose you can try it," Jinks said. "But be careful."

Huck got up onto the pegs of the pogo stick, and held onto the handlebars. He started jumping a little bit, but he soon managed to fall into the grass on his back.
