A new month had begun in Hill Street Neighborhood. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and a lot of people were going to the park today. Huckleberry Hound, Pixie, and Dixie were at the playground, getting ready to go down the slide. Huck could never resist a ride or two down the slide! It was one of his favorite things to do when he visited the park.

"Alright, fellers," he said. "Hang on!"

"Are we gonna go really fast?" Dixie asked.

"We're gonna go fast, but not that fast," Huck chuckled. "It's lots of fun!"

"Ohhhh!"

"Alright, you two ready?" Huck asked.

"Ready!!"

"Okay! One, two, three!"

And down they went. "WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!" they squealed. They soon reached the bottom, and exploded into laughter.

"You're right, Huck!" Pixie said. "That was fun!"

"Yeah, let's go again!" Dixie squealed happily.

"I was hoping you'd ask!" Huck chuckled.

They were about to turn around and get back in line to go down the slide, but all of a sudden, a large spider dropped down on the ground in front of them!

"AAAAAAAAAH!!!" they cried.

Just then, they saw that it was just a fake spider.

"Aww, I should've known!" Huck laughed. "And I bet I know who's responsible for this!"

Just then, they heard a familiar laugh from nearby.

"Hehehehehehehe!"

"It's Jinks!!" Pixie cried.

"I should have known it was him!" Dixie shouted.

Just then, Mr. Jinks popped out from a bush and cried, "April fools, fellas!!" Then he burst into laughter.

"Jinksey," Huck groaned. "Why is it that every first of April you gotta pull all these pranks on us? We're gettin' a little tired of it."

"But, Huck, I love April Fool's Day!" Jinks chuckled. "It's the only day of the year where I get to fool those meeces!"

"But, Jinks," Dixie sighed. "Every year, you manage to pull the most awful pranks on us! One time, you put glue in a box of crackers, and our little hands got stuck for three hours!"

"You hid in the closet at the studio, and when you jumped out, you frightened me terribly!" Huck added.

"That snake in the box prank was terrifying!" Pixie cried.

"And don't get me started with last year's prank!" Huck growled. "You pretended to play dead, and you had us so worried! That wasn't funny at all!!"

"Well, I thought it was funny!" Jinks said.

"But we didn't!" Huck yelled. "And this year, we're not gonna fall for your pranks!"

"Not if I get you good again!" Jinks hollered, laughing his head off.

"Laugh if you want to," Dixie screamed. "But just you watch us! We'll show you who's laughing now!"

Then he, Pixie, and Huck made their way out of the park. But then, Huck had an idea.

"Pixie, Dixie, I think I know how we're gonna stop Jinks from pranking us again!"

"How?" the mice asked.

"We'll tie a rope to the door, and when we pull it, water will spill all over him. Then a toy spider will come down and scare him. He'll then get launched into a chair where a whoopee cushion will be sitting!"
