I looked down at the floor as I took in all the information Ivy provided. It made more sense now that she explained some things.

I felt Toni nagging me in my head. He had to much pent up energy and wanted me to go for a run so he could get rid some of it. I needed to let him do that, or he'd force his way out later. He isn't very patient and would get angry.

His nagging started to hurt my head. I made a mental joke about how being a part of a pack must have included constant headaches because of the number of times my head had already been hurting.

I straightened my posture and looked at Ivy. I'm usually good at hiding my emotions and feelings so I knew she couldn't tell. "Can we go for a run?"

She nodded and stood up, "Yeah, we own a large portion of the forest. I need to go for one anyways. I haven't for days!" She let out a slight sigh.

I stood up following her when she left the room. She looked like she had a lot more energy now that we were going for a run.

I smiled as we walked across the pack to the far side where trees took up most of the space. I looked around. The forest seemed huge.

I admired Ivy as we walked. It had only been two days and I was getting a little more comfortable. The feeling that the rogues were going to steal them away from me like they did my family was slowly diminishing. I knew it would never be gone, but it wasn't as big. I normally don't let people close to me for that exact reason. Ivy. She was different.

I knew it had to do with the mate thing.

"Where do you want to run to? Wanna have a race?" I asked eagerly. I'm so used to running all the time so it feels like I hadn't gone on a run in months.

She grinned at me encouraging my eagerness. "What about the lake on the other side of the pack?"

I nodded not caring much. All I knew was that I was going to beat her.

"Sure follow me." she giggled and went behind some trees. She started to undress and I turned away with a slight blush. I went behind another tree and slipped off my clothes tying them to my ankle.

I closed my eyes and felt my senses height and bones change to the anatomy of my brown wolf. Another large wolf walked over to me proudly. I felt the power of authority radiating off of them and knew it was Ivy.

I let out a wolfy chuckle as I booked it in the direction of the lake. Now that I was in wolf form, I could smell the water a couple of miles away.

The fresh air and wind in my fur felt absolutely amazing as I ran past the trees and leaves.

I teasingly turned back to look at Ivy. Which proved to be a mistake. When I turned around again, I smacked face-first into a tree. I rubbed my face with one of my paws shaking my head a little as if that would take the pain away quicker as I heard the cracking of some branches.

I turned to look at Ivy who was standing in the opposite direction of the noise. I moved between it and her already feeling uneasy.

I glanced at her and she looked just as worried about it as me.

I looked around as a small group of maybe half a dozen rogues walked toward us. I almost didn't recognize them as my old 'family' the term being used very loosely.

I heard smirking in my head as they added me to a mind link. They may have added Ivy. I couldn't know for sure.

"What do you want?" I stated angrily through the link.

"Alpha Jason was looking for you. He misses Tony. We've been looking for you both for a while."

"I'm not interested," I growled immediately letting a quiet one slip out loud.

They started pacing around and I growled at them which made them stop. My eyes must have glowed in their purple hue because they stopped. They were all scared of Tony.

"Come on, no need for him to be here." he said in a taunting tone.

"Tell your alpha I said 'I left for a reason.'"

Ivy moved from behind me to my side. Despite my overwhelming urge to keep her behind me and as far away from them as possible, I kept eye contact with them. With both me and Ivy standing there they started to back away.

"Well get you back soon. Don't worry about that." the one stated running after his friends. I glanced at Ivy hoping to see if she had heard anything but she just glanced at me worried.

"You should head back," I tell her before she could ask any questions.-

"What?" She asked, her expression showing confusion and concern. "No, what if they come back? Why can't I stay?"

"I just need some space," I told her as I waited. She looked like she wanted to fight back against my request but she nuzzled my neck and left anyways.

I nodded at her and ran. I wasn't sure where, but I didn't care. I just needed to run. I had so much on my mind that I didn't stop until I got to a lake. It must have been the one Ivy was talking about. I ran laps around the massive body of water before laying down and basking in the sunlight.

I only realized how much time passed when the cold air hit my body. It was dark. I shot up and ran towards the house. It took me a while because I got lost a few times, but I made it there eventually.

I enter the house looking around for other people. Seeing none, I changed back and put on my clothes before I called out, "Ivy!"

There was no answer and my heart sank as I frantically looked in her office, the kitchen, the living room, and bedroom. She wasn't there, but I could hear the sound of running water from the bathroom. She was showering.

I walked down the hall and back to the kitchen. I sigh as I realized I hadn't eaten in a while. I found some soup and put it in the microwave.

After minute, she walked in and tiredly smile at me and I smiled back. "How was your run?" she asked, "It's been a while and I was about to come back out to look for you."

I shrugged casually. "I found the lake and lost track of time. Are you hungry? I made some soup. I hope you don't mind." She sat down at the table leaning on one of her arms.

"It's ok. The house is yours too, but I'm ok. I ate when I got back." I sat next to her as she yawned.

"Tired?"

"Mhm. I've been doing a lot of alpha stuff," she replied. I nodded and when the soup went off turned to get it. When I looked back, I realized Ivy had fallen asleep and was softly snoring.
