The sword sat at the end of the room between two statues of wolves. Symbols of intelligence.  I felt more like a fool more then anything. I limped over pressing my hand to my side. The wound had reopened in the chaos.

The blade was a white gold with swirled engravings in the hilt. I glanced back once more before grabbing it with my bloodied fingers. When I lifted it, it was the perfect weight and length somehow. It must've been magic made a voice in my head spoke.

I grabbed my glow rock and shook it and the room was illuminated further. At the end Sam had found steps with his glow rock. I hobbled to the stairs in exhaustion.

We all crowded to the stairs in awe mostly I assumed. I wrapped the leather straps that the sword came with around my shoulder and safe side of my waist.

After eons of steps we came out on top of the cliff near where we came from. I collapsed onto the ground to my knees. Our packs were left untouched.

Abby dropped to my side, "May I?" she gestured to my side.

I nodded and she peeled the wet shirt from my skin. She tore the bandage off and then put a new thick cloth against it. Blood seeped down past the bandage. I cursed under my breath against the pain.

"We might need to carry her and we should go to Eergland port" Abby said.

"I already was thinking that" Achelios said his eyes glued to mine once again.

"I think I can walk it's not far" I said moving my hand in place of Abby's.

Before I could try to stand Sam had me in his arms, "I don't think that's happening".

I wrapped my arms around him feeling stupid for being carried like a baby. I knew I needed to be carried, but at the same time it felt wrong to.

Achelios had stayed at the back, but I caught his eyes watching me the entire way. Even on the small boat back to the anchored boat I was well aware of his gaze. It made my body feel warm and almost giddy. He seemed to care about me in a way he did not with the others.

On the boat Abby had come to my room to assist me with my clothes and wounds. Afterward she went to the table and started to prepare something.

"My brother likes you more then he will let on" She said.

"Why because I have power?" I asked.

"In case you haven't noticed he doesn't like many people, but you are an exception even more then me maybe, so no it's not about power" she said as she walked over with a glass of green liquid.

I drank the strange substance. It tasted like flowers and something sugary. Once the glass was gone I began to feel the extent of exhaustion.

"this will let you rest for the night easy" she said.

Boy was she right about that one. I was out in no time.

I woke up and the sky was dark out. I wandered out of my room holding my side. It hurt more then before because it had literally ripped back open.

I was mildly concerned with how well I seemed to fit into this place. I felt a sense of adventure that in my world was impossible. The deaths seemed distant now and after telling myself a dozen times I started to feel less horrible about it.

Or was this really my world? Afterall summoners aren't from my world?

"Cyra? you should be resting" Achelios said worry hiding in his tone.

"I will rest but I don't want to sit all day and night in bed" I said walking to the stairs to below deck.

I dug through the items before finding some bread and dried meats. I heard Achelios's footsteps as he stopped by me.

"Yes?" I asked.

"I- its just you should go at least be sitting or something" he said.

"Just because I have never been wounded before doesn't make fragile, besides I am very cautious" I said walked back up to the main deck.

Sam was the wheel this time and Abby was no doubt sleeping somewhere. I sat down on the same box I had since day one. Achelios sat on the ground next to me which seemed odd to me. He looked so small that way and he never seemed small.

"Why did you save me so many times?" I asked.

"You are the summoner and I may not believe in psychics, but I believe in you after seeing you" he said his eyes never meeting mine.

I wasn't an expert at friends, but I figured that this was as close as one got to him saying he liked someone. Before I could find a response he walked away to the stairs towards Sam to tell him it was his turn.
