I had been attending to business with the other king Calaman. He was speaking to me of the routes where shadows had been spotted. I disliked rooms full of people they made me feel naked and vulnerable. He had all his special men and leaders in the room listening and watching.

The shadows were taking the kingdoms piece by piece. They were hitting every town in the middle of course. Demolishing one thing at a time as if taunting.

"So you see our issue we need her trained up and ready soon she has the sword" he said.

"Yes, but that won't be enough you know that she's only been a summoner for a few weeks" I said.

"Then she needs to be trained up with my men" He said.

"All of my team does" I said.

* * *

I walked into our room later and found her looking outside the window. The sleeves of her shirt had been rolled up revealing her ink that was buried into her skin.

"Little Dove" It came out a whisper.

"You are back I've had to keep shooing maids away" she said nervously.

"In a four days they want our marriage, in the mean time they want you to train your powers shadows have been advancing in the nighttime everywhere destroying and hurting" I said letting the truth out.

"Then I will need to be ready" she said standing and walking past me.

I grabbed her arm and pulled her back to face her. I looked at her green tired eyes. She was lovely like the flames in a fire as it ravaged through a home or a forest. She reminded me of fire with how she acted. Abby was more like a boulder that rammed into you.

"You aren't okay I see you" I said quietly.

"No I am not, I did not think I could break again, but I have except this time I am not alone, and that will get me out" she said hesitant.

"Tell me what to do" I begged my voice sounding so bare and open it made the outside world seem like a small cell.

I'd never felt this worry for anybody else. This woman I worried for. Now I was begging her to let me help her despite not knowing what to do.

"I just need you by my side I need to know I am not alone" she said.

"I am not leaving you" I said.

She knew I did not share these types of words with other people. I was hers and hers alone. If she would take me. I let go of her and she walked to wipe her face off. I looked at her hands her body. She might've been hurt by others for her size, but they missed how lovely she was. They also missed her heart which was a rare thing, not even Sam had that.

"I can sleep on the floor if you want" I said.

"No I don't want you to I mean unless you want to" she said.

"Alright" I said plopping down on one side.

She walked back and sat next to me, "Being married to someone like you is not the worst thing in the world there are worse people".

"I hope so" I said which made her smile.

"you know what's been bothering me the most not the people I hurt not anymore, it's the feeling of the pain the beating even my knee still hurts a little like a phantom of that" she said.

"I will kill him myself and anyone who dared touch you" I said looking right at her.

"It means a lot coming from you" she said her eyes starring right into my soul.

"When I was younger my father had already decided I was a bad guy so I became one, one time when I was taken during a voyage he never sent anyone, they hurt me like you and I escaped and he laughed when I showed up covered in blood and broken, it bothered me for years" I said.

"How did you get by?" She asked.

"I just kept moving and kept silent about it I tried to distract and get revenge but it never solved the issue you shouldn't do as I did" I said.

"You said you won't leave me and I will give you the same" She said.

My eyes widened in surprise. She leaned close to me and pressed a small kiss against my cheek. She seemed just as shocked as me. She quickly turned away and wrapped up in her blankets leaving me stunned.

In the early morning light we were dragged out of bed by maids and servants. They stuffed food into our faces and changed us into proper training gear. In the indoor room, I saw Calaman off in the corner with his generals and other men.

Cyra had her sword strapped to her body and was wearing a deep wine colored shirt with a corset belt at her waist. She stood next to me frozen as she looked around at the massive amounts of people.

"Relax you get to kick most of their asses" I said smiling lightly.

"I really hope so" She said.

Cyra stood in the center with her hands raised as four men approached her. She was using her water abilities to make them gag. She did not hurt them only mildly took away their comfort. Light seemed to crackle around her like the way shadows did.

They fell once she'd exhausted them and within a few seconds she had them down. Then he brought out a few men and another summoner. It was a younger ginger man and he already had flames in his hands. Cyra merely smiled at him and formed water into her hands. The water seemed to glow as she formed a shield around herself and ran at him. Steam rose when his hands made contact with the shield and he flew back a ways. The other man charged at her and she did what she had before. She finished each one pointing her sword at them. She ran at the ginger man once he was up her sword already sheathed again. She used her powers to make him gag to and tried launching fireballs at her. She blocked them using her powers in two different ways at once. That was unheard of. Then again she was unheard of not many could harness two powers. The ginger man fell and waved his hands up and she stopped. She was smiling as she turned towards me.
