I knocked on Cyra's door the moment we had anchored the boat down. When she didn't answer at all I opened it a crack to see her watching out one of the windows. Exhaustion was wearing on all of us but as soon as we got one piece we could go on to rest.

She stood up wearing a deep green shade tunic which made me hide a cough of shock. Another horrifying feeling. She looked beautiful.

"I am ready" she said resting her hand against her side where I knew a bandage was put on.

I nodded awkwardly before turning and leaving with her at my heels. I stopped in the middle where the other two were waiting. Sam still had a glorious cut to his face. It made his childish features turn older. He was fine as for Cyra I wasn't sure.

Perhaps we would need an extra day or so to gain our strengths up. At the same time we were on a time crunch and things had already gone against the plan.

"We will search along the coast technically speaking it should call out to you Cyra" I said watching her hand still firm to her side.

The beach was similar to any other. Grubby sand that got stuck in your shoes regardless of how you walked. Forest trees lined the edge, pines and spruce. This was a colder area though where winter happened and would happen in a manner of months.

We walked off the beach and into the untouched woods. The island had rocky shores on the other side that we needed to reach. It was too dangerous to anchor the ship on that side and climb up. Instead we would climb down to the right cave.

The island walk took us little time and then we stood over the tall cliffs. Fallen chunks as big as our ship dwelled below our feet just under the surface. My sister had wrapped a rope around a giant steady tree and tied it to herself. She was helping Cyra make a knot that would not wrap around her waist.

I pulled out my own rope going to another big sturdy tree. I tied it as the others had already done so.

Abby started climbing down with Cyra following her. I assisted Sam reluctantly and then started to climb down. Below us were several caves some large and some small. There were a few that were just crevices. There was a cave with marks on it in a language that I figured was a trap.

We climbed way down to a cave that was still a good distance above the sea level. Abby was the first to land and she untied her rope and peered into the cave. I passed Cyra and landed after my sister and waited for her. She winced every few steps down, but eventually she made it.

Once we were all settled I flicked on a light globe. It was a sphere that was magically made by a summoner. I only had to shake it for it to come to life. Everyone lit theirs up and we moved forward. Cyra had been amused by it when I showed her.

The cave had sharp edges everywhere and we didn't see anything until we could no longer see the light. There were marks of red on the all in an ancient language I did not know.

"One leads to everything good and the other is certain doom" Abby said.

"well that's lovely" Sam whispered his voice echoed.

Abby took another step and suddenly knives fell from the ceiling through holes none of us had seen. She backed away just before she was sliced. She stepped back again and no knives fell. We all stepped across with ease.

We walked hesitantly from then on out until we entered a huge room. Corpses were laying around the room now just skeletons. There was a gap in the door way like where a door would slide. Along the walls were more words and paintings.

"These are incredible they are from the ancient Grandrea they tell the story of them" Abby said as we walked around.

Cyra was walking across the room to where some statues sat on a shelf. One was a lion, another was a goose and the last was a wolf.

"The spirits" Abby said joining her.

She ran her fingers over some ancient message just below them. Abby was always a language and culture genius.

"The wolf is smart, the lion brave and the goose is always a trickster only a summoners blood can be used to unlock the sword if you chose wrong we all die" Abby said.

Cyra took out her small knife and I watched as she sliced her thumb, "Which one do you think it is?" she asked.

"I don't know I mean the wall mentions them all" Abby said.

Cyra looked around the room and eventually placed her finger onto the wolf. The room started to rumble and shake and the gap I'd noticed earlier was in fact a place for a door. A big stone rolled in to lock us inside.

Water started to fill in from the floor and the statues sunk into the ground. Sam and I grabbed at the door, but it was no use just solid stone. Within a few seconds it was up to my legs and I could've sworn the ceiling was coming closer.

"There has to be a way out they wouldn't make a room they could not escape from" Abby shouted from across the room.

Abby ran around and looked at the walls. Cyra was standing helplessly in the middle as the water reached past her waist. She trudged through the water and waved her hands using her powers.

"It's air tight I can't do anything" she said.

The ceiling was in fact coming down on us and the water now reached my chest and was up to Cyra and Abby's necks.

"Over here there's an indent that's nowhere else" Sam said.

"Now's not the time to point out décor" I hissed.

"No he's right it's the..." Abby began but the water went over all of our heads.

Our glow spheres had all gone out and we were under the darkness. I held my breath involuntarily and debated what the purpose of dragging us all here had been.

I swam up and there was a gap and I could breathe. Across the room was a doorway. I searched the water seeing Abby and Sam already swimming. Cyra surfaced at last, but she was struggling a little. Her wound had likely reopened from everything.

I swam towards her and near her as the water kept receding and then I pushed her up to the doorway and followed after her.
