There were so many interesting things here in this world. It must've made my world seem boring. I started my way towards the room Cyra had vanished into. I heard a noise and then a thump. I tried to open the door, but it would not move. I shouted her name over and over again as I tried to break the door down.

The wood creaked and snapped until eventually it could not handle me. It fell inwards and nearly hit Cyra who was wrapped into a net. I started tugging on it and untangling her. Strange squealing sounds which was as close to the right sound as I could imagine.

Another door thumped onto the ground from somewhere else just as I got Cyra out. She was already opening another window. She punched something out of it and started to climb out. I followed her quickly and saw her going down. Bright red and blue lights were shining in the street.

When we landed onto the ground we ran back into the alleyway more. There was a metal fence that blocked the other alleyway. Cyra climbed onto the fence and I followed suit. It was hard to get footing in the tiny shapes, but eventually we both made it to the top. She jumped down first and I followed.

A man started shouting in a language I did not know. We started to run and he ran towards us. He only got the chance to see our backs. Cyra had tucked her sword at her back so it was more hidden.

We reached the street and walked across it and started down the street. I snuck a handful of berries from a stand selling produce. I saw the lights on the cars as they drove past us at speeds that seemed impossible.

We turned at another corner. I admired the tall buildings all around. There were colors I had never even seen before. One of them a yellow that hurt me eyes to look at. She grabbed my arm startling me. We were in another alleyway where we sat in hiding behind boxes. It smelled rather horrendously in this small space.

Once it was dark we ended up sitting on a roof of a building after climbing another fire escape. Cyra was talking about how she assumed the bad guys had called the cops. She also said that they wouldn't have evidence because the both of us had been wearing gloves. She explained to me how they used fingerprints to find people.

I looked at her as we both shivered at the night cold. Our bodies pressed together which made me feel strangely at ease. She looked so exhausted from the day. I wanted her to rest and sleep, but she also seemed so happy.

"So this is the world you live in?" I asked.

"Well mine is about 3000 miles from here, I mean well its across an ocean and then some" she said trying to explain it.

"I would like to see more of this world" I said.

She looked at me then in a mix of awe and confusion. Then her mouth lifted and she nodded.

"But first you'll need some clothes to blend in and I sort of have to make a story up of how I went missing, not really sure how to come up with that, my mom will believe the truth" she said.

"I suppose other world traveling is not something you do here often?" I said smiling.

"No and there are no dragons here either" she said.

Her green eyes were sparkling in a way. They reminded me of the way a green leaf lights up when sunlight is going through it. Now I could see the lights here reflecting in them.

She fell asleep after a few hours and I kept watch. I heard noises from the side of the building. It was voices in a language and accent I knew too well. Whoever brought the sword here was around us. I walked towards the edge of the building and looked over seeing two men. They had no swords, but I could see knife hilts in their boots.

"It says it's right here" an older looking man with no hair said.

"Well they aren't in the shop" the other said with dark brown stubble.

One of them looked up and spotted me and I cursed under my breath. I ducked back as a knife came soaring for me. I ran back to Cyra and started to shake her awake. She groaned and sat up and I quickly explained.

She pulled her sword out and it seemed to glow in the darkness. It seemed to make her glow to. She started running to where the fire escape was. I ran with her as the men hoped over the top ledge. She swung her sword and sliced at the man. The older man came for me with a big knife is hand. He swung and I dodged him and reached for his arm. He moved it and tried to stab into my back as I stumbled. He missed by pure chance and I swung my arm around his neck. He dove forward and I flew over his back and landed roughly on the ground.

I glanced at Cyra and she was blocking the other mans small sword. She was shockingly a natural at sword fighting considering the time she'd had to practice. I snapped out of my thoughts as a blade tried to impale into my throat. The man was on top of me pressing the blade towards me. I groaned using all my strength to keep it from killing me. I let go and and rolled my head and the blade jabbed into the ground.

I punched him in the jaw and he loosened enough for me to push him off. I grabbed one of my own blades and swung at him. We went into a fight of blocks and jabs that got nowhere. He was a skilled fighter no wonder he was here. We kept up our game until he knocked my knife away and it skittered off somewhere. I tried to follow it, but he put a knife to my throat and pinned me against a doorway. I looked for Cyra, but she had vanished. A moment later I saw her gold blade sticking through the throat of the old man. She pulled it out and he fell taking his knife with him.

Cyra smiled at me with blood splattered on her face. It seemed so different from the girl I met who had been so bothered by the idea of killing. It probably still bothered her a little, how could it not. She was the type of girl who felt things differently and more acutely then I could ever.

"Now to find a new hideout tomorrow evening I'll be ready I hope, I do have the sword now" she said.
