"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony. Charles Jacob Iverson, do you take this woman to be your wife, to live together in holy matrimony, to love her, to honor her, to comfort her, and to keep her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live? Charles nodded. "I do." "Nicole Veronica Johnson, do you take this man to be your husband, to live together in holy matrimony, to love him, to honor him, to comfort him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?" Nicole nodded.  "I do."

"Repeat after me. I, Charles Jacob Iverson, take you Nicole Veronica Johnson, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part." "I, Nicole Veronica Johnson, take you Charles Jacob Iverson, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part."

"Please place the ring on her finger and repeat the following. I give you this ring as a token and pledge of our constant faith and abiding love." Nicole would repeat the same vowels.

"Please join hands!" Charles and Nicole would hold each other's hands. "By virtue of the authority vested in me under the laws of the State of California, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

It was now 2016. A year had passed since Charles and Nicole had become Mr. and Mrs. Iverson. Savannah had been busy as usual with high profile cases, winning nearly all of them. She finally had some time off. Savannah's cousin Bobbi was visiting from Baltimore.

Bobbi was watching tv

Bobbi was watching tv. She saw "Marlin Moone" doing an interview. Savannah was rummaging through the mail when she happened to look up. Bobbi shook her head. "I cannot believe you let that Half Filipino cutie get away!" Savannah would scrunch up her face. "Please! Look, I wish Kwame all the success in the world. But he just wasn't it! He never was!"

Savannah would walk over to Bobbi. "Kwame was so annoying! He would watch my every move. I found out that he once saw me naked." Bobbi's eyes got wide as she sat up from the couch. "Girl, what!?" Savannah nodded. "Yeah, his brother Dadrian told me. I was fifteen at the time. I had just come out of the shower. You remember at the old house, my bedroom was in the back of the house." Bobbi nodded. "Well, I didn't close my curtains that day. Didn't think I had to since my bedroom window faced the backyard. It turns out that Kwame jumped over the chain linked fence that we had, supposedly to grab oranges off of the orange tree. He remembered where my bedroom window was. That's when he saw me drop my towel. Kwame got a good view of everything." Bobbi shook her head. "Oh damn! Well I guess that wouldn't have worked out anyway."

Bobbi grabbed some chips from a bowl and started munching on them. "Ya know I was kind of jealous when you had Iverson. I always knew sex with his fine ass was off the chain!" Savannah chuckled and shook her head. "Those long sexy ripped arms look like they could just lift you up with no problem. He always looked like he could have you wobbling when he's done witcha!" Savannah's eyes widened. "Bobbi!" "What!? Ya know I'm speakin' da truth. Yep, It's too bad that he cheated on you with that green-eyed she-devil. Since the first time I met that girl, I knew there was somethin' off with her. Never trusted her! But because she was your girl and all, I kept my mouf shut."

Savannah plopped down on the couch next to Bobbi. "Ya know I still keep in touch with Charles." Bobbi's eyebrows rose. "Oh really?" "Yes! In fact, tomorrow I will be having coffee with him and his pregnant wife." Bobbi just shook her head. "Girl, It couldn't be me!" "I know. But Charles and I are cool with each other." Bobbi shrugged her shoulders. "That's good I guess." Savannah looked at her watch and stood up. "But right now, I'm going over to Dadrian's to visit my goddaughter. So I will see you later." "Okay Cous." Savannah went out the door, got in her car and drove to Dadrian's place.
