After a week...
Jenice, as ordinary, comes at work and prepares to go on stage. This became like a routine for her.
Tonight, she wears white sequined underwear.
"What a beauty!" A familiar voice is heard.
Jenice, smiles widely, and sees Sandra, her friend, her co-worker winks at her.
"I could say the same about you," Jenice grins at the brunette who is wearing very short light blue jeans and a black lace bra.
"You came a little early today," Sandra tells her as she stops in front of her. "Everything is okay? You seem distracted."
"No," the brunette shrugs. "I'm fine. What could distract me? I just only came to work."
"I don't know," Sandra narrows her eyes, smiling cunningly. "Maybe it's him... You know who..." She grins widely.
"Oh no! No way!" Jenice nods vehemently and checks her makeup and hair in the mirror and heads for the main door. "I don't have him in mind. I told him everything. All what was to say."
"Girl... What did you say to him?" Sandra interrogates her, frowning.
"That there can't be anything serious between us."
"Girl! You're crazy? How could you tell him that!" Sandra shouts in shock. "It's not just any man! It's Nikki fucking Sixx! You're crazy! How could you refuse him?!"
"If you had a past like mine and a child, you would understand me," sighs Jenice. "I just want a quiet life. Yes, I know, this place is not very quiet. But I won't be here forever. No matter how tempting it would be to have an affair with a rock star... I say pass..."
"Wait, did he tell you he wanted an affair?" Sandra widens her blue eyes.
"No... What it's strange is that... He wanted something serious."
Sandra's mouth drops, appalled by such information. "Girl! Are you serious?"
"Yes."
"I still can't believe you said no. Girl. Go and check your head! I bet you are crazy about him, but you don't want to admit it!"
Jenice blushes instantly but doesn't say anything.
"See?" Sandra smiles. "Girl, give him a chance."
"I don't think it's a good idea. And I haven't seen him for a week. Since he has left with Lisa and that new employee."
"Oh, so that's why you have such a grudge for him," Sandra realizes. "You're jealous."
"No! It's not about that!" Jenice rejects this idea.
"Yes, of course," Sandra smiles so that her facial muscles weaken if she sees someone coming. "Speaking of the devil."
Lisa makes her appearance. She passes by them, hitting Jenice with a hateful look.
"Move out of my way!" Lisa shouts.
"What's the matter with her?" Jenice arches an eyebrow as Lisa moves furthermore.
"She's been like this since last week. Girl..." Sandra's face lights up, having a revelation. "She's been like this since the evening when she left with Nikki!"
"Really?" Jenice imposes an unconvinced look.
"Yes! The bitch came mad after leaving with Nikki! I don't know what the hell happened and why she would behave like that."
"How about the new employee?"
"Ann? Well, in case you haven't noticed, she's not around anymore. She resigned a few days ago. The girls gossip that she was not happy with the wage."
Jenice process the new information. Ann is no longer here to answer some questions. Why would Lisa come in sulking after leaving with Nikki that night? Lisa was so self-satisfied and confident. Jenice can't forget how much hatred she felt when she saw her on Nikki's arm.
Jenice and Sandra would talk some more, but they have to start working. They both go on stage, sharing the pole. The two seem to be having fun like two real besties, but at the same time they are working hard. Jenice regains her senses, her friend always manages to lift her spirits when she has a bad day.
The day is about to take off now when, bending her body in the pool, she catches sight of Nikki, who has a thirsty look.
Jenice almost loses her balance. Her friend sees this and helps her, grasping her hand.
"Hey, girl. Are you ok?" Sandra asks, but only now seeing Nikki's presence and understands the reaction of her co-worker.
Jenice doesn't give in and continues her dance, even giving Nikki brave looks, not feeling intimated by his arrival. He seems to enjoy everything, his grin grows even more.
The two end their performance and move away.
Of course, Jenice has no chance, her hand is pulled by Nikki.
The brunette slowly turns towards him, adopting a calm look.
"Hi. What do you want?" She speaks serenely.
"Hey doll. What are you doing? I really liked how you danced."
"I'm glad," she smiles weakly.
"You're mad at me?"
"Why would I be?" This time Jenice looks bewildered.
"You know why..." He grins cleverly. "In the evening when I left with..."
"With Lisa and Ann," she concludes carelessly. "Anyway... Why would I bother? You can leave here with any girl you want. I can't tell you what to do," Jenice stares at him, not letting any piercing emotion escape her.
"Is that so?" Nikki doesn't seem persuaded. "It didn't seem that way that evening. I saw your look. You were... Jealous," he grins.
"What do you want from me?" The brunette seems to lose her patience. "I told you clearly and bluntly the reason why we can't be together. We don't fit each other."
"Repeat the last sentence," he tells her this time with a serious look.
"Oh... What? That we don't fit each other?"
Nikki steps, grabbing her by the waist, and her whole face turns red.
Their faces so close now. They almost touch each other's noses. Nikki grins as he sees that his gesture makes her breath increase.
The brunette places her hands on his chest and pushes him gently, pretending she doesn't want his touch. Although he feels that it is actually the other way around. He can read her body language. Even if he pushes him, she definitely wants him.
Nikki hides his desire and leans back a little. He seems to be coming to her senses.
"I came because I'm going on tour soon. I will be back before Christmas. I wanted to come and see you again."
The brunette is taken by surprise by his statement. That strange feeling in the stomach appears. Like a heat that increases in her chest.
"How long will you be on tour?"
"I will leave in June. And if I said I'd be back before Christmas... That's almost six months."
"Oh... Quite a long time," says Jenice, a trace of regret appears.
"Yes," he smiles sadly. "I'll miss you, Jen."
"Don't worry. The women you will meet on the tour will make your longing for me disappear," she says coldly.
"No woman can hold a candle to you," Nikki twists a strand of her wavy hair. "Do me a favor. Go one more time and dance for me."
Jenice would like to tell him to go to hell and leave at once. But she finds herself getting his request. As if she can no longer control herself.
So he has to go on tour. Six months is a long time.
She was used to seeing him around looking for her with his hungry gaze.
The way he stared at her, just like he does now, she takes to the pool and dance.
Her body is there, but her mind leaves the place. It should have been good news. But on the opposite, she is disappointed. And she wonders what is wrong with her.
