After six months... January 1990...

Two more months until the big event. Jenice and Nikki chose their wedding date to be in March.

But not just any ordinary day. But the day when Nikki got out of the rehab clinic and came to see Jenice and Sarah. That day symbolized the big change in his life and the decision for Jenice to give a chance for building a family.

Both adults will never forget the four-year-old girl's reaction to the sight of that stranger on the threshold. She came to call that stranger father.

Things turned out so well. Jenice and he are getting married soon. They build a family together. They are already discussing the conception of one or two new family members. Both of them are impatient, because after the wedding they want to expand their family.

Sarah is six years old. Jenice doesn't want there to be too much of an age gap between her and her siblings. There are four years between her and Rob and it still seems too much, always seeing her brother as imposing and the one who always made the rules.

Jenice inspects the place where the reception would take place after the ceremony. Sandra, her friend, is with her, helping her. As she also assisted her with the other wedding preparations, although it is a bit difficult for her because she is still studying hard, while Jenice has graduated and is already working. Not even dead they will set foot in a strip bar. Never. But that piece of history will remain part of the diary of their life forever and cannot be cleared.

"What do you think?" Jenice asks her friend, glancing at the tables, decorations, lights, everything that filled the great room.

"It should matter what you think, girl," grins Sandra. "It's your wedding."

"I would like an honest opinion from my friend," Jenice smiles, nudging Sandra gently.

"What can I say," smiles Sandra, looking around. "Everything looks fabulous, girl. You will have a wonderful wedding. I can't believe you and Nikki have come this far already. You moved pretty fast," she winks and Jenice giggles. "Will you move just as quickly in terms of increasing the family members?"

"Oh," laughs the brunette. "Sarah can't stop speaking about her brother or sister. She asks me every day when they will come."

"Aw. Give that child a sibling. Don't wait too long. Time passes."

"I'm only 27 years old," Jenice raises an eyebrow. "Nikki is 31. We have plenty of time. How about you? Are you still single?"

"I might surprise you on the day of your wedding when I will arrive with my new boyfriend," Sandra speaks with a smile.

"Oh, really?" Jenice seems amazed. "I can't wait to see both of you."

"Oh, girl... Just wait... He looks like an actor. Just wait and see him..."

Jenice is about to ask her how long she's known this mysterious guy when she sees a braking car through the window, her future husband and daughter spilling out of it.

"The little devils have come," Jenice smiles, still looking out the window.

The two make their way inside, Sarah holds Nikki's hand as she runs away with her open arms.

"Mommy!"

"Hey honey," Jenice takes her in her arms. "Where have you and daddy been?"

"We ate some ice cream," the little girl answers by looking up at her, her mouth most likely having traces of cocoa flavored ice cream.

Giggling, her mother rubs her face to remove the stain.

Jenice is looking at Nikki walking up to them. They smile, kissing each other briefly on the lips.
