CHAPTER 35

DIA's POV (YJ)

We walk to the Ayala parking lot without saying anything. I'm trying to strike up a conversation, but she's clearly ignoring me. She didn't even dare to look at me or listen to what I was saying.

Did I go too far again?

But I'm correct, right? Why is she blaming her for their relationship? Is Riley responsible for everything because she was hurt? Riley's hurting, too.

I'm lucky, Santi never did that to me when we split up.

Now I find myself missing him.

Red startled me out of my reverie. She's putting on my helmet... with her solemn and frowning expression. She then turned away from me and mounted her motorcycle.

At least, she still cares when she's mad.

"What?" she asked. "Ano pang hinihintay mo? Sakay na." Her tone of voice was irritated.

I bite my lower lip to keep my smile in check. "Nothing," I said, sitting behind her.

Perhaps she wasn't all that upset because she was still driving well. I've heard from her friends that when she's angry, she drives recklessly. Worse, she's getting involved in an accident.

When we arrived back at the Casa, I noticed the cars parked in front of the mansion and frowned.

"Isn't that...?" I started, taking off my helmet.

She took hers off as well, and she even brushed her hair to fix it before answering my question.

"Yeah, it is... and your dad, too," she sighed.

"I thought next week pa ang uwi nila?"

"I was thinking the same thing," she shrugged.

She took off the jacket she was wearing and slung it over her shoulder then she started walking in so I followed. But, before I entered, I returned my attention to the military vehicle.

Is this really necessary?

"Where have you been?" Dra. Andi asks as we enter their living room. As always, she's either reading a magazine or going over her patients' charts.

"I'm with Diamond, galing kami sa labas ng bayan."

"Hello, Diamond!" Dra. Andi greeted. "Is my younger sister doing well today?"

I returned her greeting with a smile. "She's good company, doc, no worries!" I replied.
