RED's POV (RJ)
Napatigil ako sa pagtipa sa cellphone ko nang tawagin ako ng isang nurse.
"Red Sandoval?"
"Bakit, miss?"
"Chief Vidal is calling you po."
"Bakit daw?"
"Pasok nalang daw po kayo." Itinuro niya iyong room na pinasukan ni Diamond at Aubrey kanina kasama ang ilan pa.
Chloe was giggling beside me. "You're very popular talaga, 'no? Even doctors want to see you kahit wala ka namang sakit. Maybe you are the disease itself."
Inakbayan ko siya at nilaro ang ilang hibla ng bangs niya. "Alam mo, ito talaga 'yung namiss ko sayo eh, masyado kang madaldal kahit hindi ka naman kinakausap," saka ko hinila iyon at mabilis na lumayo sa kanya. Sumunod agad ako sa nurse papasok ng room ni Dr. Vidal.
"You're done for, Zared Sandoval!" I heard her scream before it faded away when the door closed.
"Every time I see you, there's a girl screaming your name," Dr. Vidal told me as I entered his office.
His interns are seated on his office couch, Diamond included.
"Gano'n talaga, Doc, pogi eh!" I clicked my tongue, gestured a pogi sign beneath my chin, and winked. He shook his head, a sliver of a smile on his lips. "Bakit niyo po pala ako pinatawag?"
"Ah, right." Itinaas niya ang isang cellphone na familiar na sa'kin. "This is Ms. Acosta's personal cellphone."
"Oo nga po. Bakit nasa inyo?" Napatingin ako kay Diamond na nakatitig na pala sa'kin. Ang lamig makatitig.
"We're all very busy here, but Ms. Acosta keeps checking her phone. You're interfering with us, Red," he muttered, and I knew that mutter meant he was displeased. "But... if you're so sure of her, why don't you tell us why we SHOULD pass her?" he asked, emphasizing the word 'should'.
