7: Cheating

(Nico's P.O.V. 

P.S. They are not demigods in this.)

I sighed after I slammed the door on my 'boyfriend,' Alex and his girlfriend. I just found out he was seeing a girl. A girl! 

He told me at the beginning of the year that he was gay. Now he has a girlfriend. 

I should have known. He only ever kissed me once. He never said I love you back, never even hugged me. He just lived in my apartment, eating all my food.

My phone ringed. A text from Alex. I didn't bother to read it. I was done with Alex. My phone ringed again. I almost didn't look at it, but I saw it was from Percy. 

Percy: Are you okay?

Me: Yeah, why did you ask?

It took a minute. 

Percy sent a tic tock. I clicked on it. Alex appeared. "I played the best prank ever on a boy named Nico di Angelo, you know the emo kid at school. He was gay, so I pretended to be his boyfriend. Ha! We've been 'dating' for the past year, and he just came into his apartment to find Nancy and I kissing. Nancy accidentally left the door unlocked. Woops. He kicked us out of his apartment. So, if you see him more sulking than usual, now you know why."

"Merda! Alex, ti odio, e perché hai dovuto farmi questo?" I said with tears streaming down my face.

I got a face time call from Percy. I was about to hang up, but I answered.

Percy took one look at me then said, "I'm sorry dude. How about this, I'll get the rest of the gang on here."

I just nodded. It took a moment, but now Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Hazel, Frank, Leo, and Reyna are on.

They all looked at me with pity. I hated pity. But I didn't say anything.

"That dude is a fucking idiot and he doesn't deserve someone as good as you," Leo said, but with a lot more bad words.

They all told me apologies, but I didn't really listen. I was still upset.

After a little bit, they had to go to bed. School was tomorrow.

 I was 19. I could handle a little drama tomorrow.

The next day, I walked into my class. I got a few looks of pity, and a few laughs. I ignored it all.

I got through most of my classes by ignoring everyone. Then lunch came. I sat in the cafeteria. None of my friends were there, because they had lunch at a different time than me.

I sat down at an empty table, and ate the food quickly. I needed to get out of here.

Then, a blond haired boy sat down next to me. He had amazing eyes, bright blue. His freckles covered his face. Oh my gods, he is so handsome.

While my brain was going crazy, I tried to keep it cool. "What are you doing?" I asked.

"I couldn't leave such a handsome boy alone," the guy said. "By the way, I'm Will."

"If you're trying to do a prank on me, go away. I don't need anymore drama in my life," I growled.

"What are you talking- oh. You must be Nico di Angelo."

"I am. And I don't want pity."

"Okay, I won't pity you. And I would never prank you like Alex did. That guy can be such a jerk some times."

"He is," I said, trying not to cry. I could not cry in front of this person I just met.

"So, you seem nice. Do you want to meet up after school?" Will asked.

"Um, okay," I replied.

"Meet me at star bucks at 6:00 pm, okay?"

"Yeah, okay."

We proceeded to talk. By the time lunch was over, I was really looking forward to 6:00.
