20: Sunset

(Will's P.O.V.)

"Hey Nico!" I called.

"Hey Will," Nico replied.

"Do you want to do something with me?" I asked.

"What is it?" 

"It's a surprise," I told him.

Today, I would tell him I had a crush on him. I've had it for a long time, but I've never been brave enough to tell him. What happens if it ruins our friendship? I worked so hard to get Nico to actually talk to me.

I shook off the thought. Whatever happens, will happen. Aphrodite will work it out.

I jogged off to the woods. This was going to be fun.

(Nico's P.O.V.)

I was wondering what Will was doing. Was he going to tell me that he hates me? No, Will probably won't do that considering what he did to make me open up around me. 

I practiced with my sword throughout the day. I was so deep in training, that when I felt something on my shoulder, I turned around and placed my sword to the persons throat.

Then I realized someone had tapped me on the shoulder, and that someone was Will. Oh, Gods he was hot. His sky blue eyes sparkled if that was even possible.

I snapped out of my trance and lowered my sword. "Sorry," I mumbled. 

"It's fine, death boy."

"Don't call me death boy," I sighed. I actually loved it when he called me death boy, but he doesn't have to know. He also doesn't have to know that I call him sunshine in my head.

"Come on," Will said. He started to walk off, and I followed him, putting my sword on my belt.

He lead me into the woods, and I saw a little picnic set up. Was this a date? I mentally shook my head. Will doesn't like me like that. Just as a friend. I shouldn't be liking him. He'll probably turn out like Percy. Just another straight guy that I had a crush on and my heart get's broken again.

Will sat down, and I sat down next to him. 

"So, um, Nico. There's been something that I've been needing to tell you," Will said. "I know you might hate me, but I can't deny it."

Oh cazzo. He probably hates me.

"Nico, I have feelings for you. I really like you," Will said.

My mouth dropped open. So this was a date.

"I-I do to," I admitted.

Now it was Will's turn to be surprised. Then, he leaned forward. I did to. Our lips touched, and it was magical. 

Once we pulled away, we stared at each other.

"Nico, will you be my boyfriend?" Will asked.

"Yes," I smiled happily. 

We ate the lunch and when we were finished, Will took his hand into mine. We walked back to camp, and people were staring. 

One girl came up to us. "Are you guys dating?" She asked.

"Yes," Will said happily. 

"What are your names?" She asked.

"I'm Will, an this is Nico."

"Willco? No, that doesn't really work. What are your last names?"

"Mine is Solace and Nico's is di Angelo."

"Solangelo! Perfect," she exclaimed.

"What?" I asked.

"Your ship name. Solangelo," she said like it was obvious.

Another girl, Drew I think, came over. "You two are dating," she said with disgust. "Eww."

"Get out of here Drew. I don't want to see you ugly face covered it too much makeup again," the other girl said.

Drew walked away, and the other girl turned to us. "Drew is an annoying brat. Oh, by the way I'm Lilly."

"Thanks Lilly," Will said.

"You're welcome. I think you two are the cutest couple ever. Have fun," she left us, and walked over to other girls. 

"Hey Nico," Will said.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"What do you think about the ship name Solangelo?"

I paused. "I love it."

Will leaned down to kiss me. "I love it too."

Behind me, I heard squealing and shouts. "Finally! Solangelo is cannon! My OPT!" I could tell it was Jason and Percy. But I didn't bother to think more about them. My focus was on Will Solace. On his lips pressing to mine. It was perfect.
