(Will's P.O.V.)

I heard screams coming from the Hades cabin at 2 in the morning. I rushed out of bed and ran to see what was the matter, ignoring the harpies.

I ran in to see Nico screaming. He was having a nightmare. I brushed his hair out of his face, and sang lullabies to calm him down. It wasn't working.

"Nico," I said. "Nico, please wake up. It's just a nightmare."

He grabbed my hand and squeezed. "Don't let go," he whispered softly.

I know Nico does not like physical touch. He never does it. But right now, he must be dreaming of someone very close to him.

I heard crackling noises. I turned around to see that there was now a fire in the fireplace. Next to the fire was a little girl, only about 9.

"Hello Will," she said, but in a voice that does not belong to a 9 year old kid.

"Um, hi."

"I see you are very worried for this boy. Why is that?"

In that moment I remembered Nico telling me about how a little girl was tending the fire when Percy and him went to visit Luke's mother. She turned out to be Hestia.

"I see that you figure out who I am," Hestia said. "Can you tell me why you are worried about this boy."

I never heard of Hestia being so nosy. But, I gave her the truth. "I have a little crush," I said.

"Ah," Hestia smiled. "Do you want me to help?"

"With what?"

"Calming Nico down. I can get you into his dreams."

"I thought only Hypnos can do that."

"I can do powerful things also."

Hestia raised her hand and I wasn't in the Hades cabin anymore. She didn't even give me a choice. But, I would have chosen this anyways.

I was in a barley lit room. Two beds, a nightstand, and a lamp were the only things in it. Two people were sleeping in the beds. I gasped as I recognized who the boy was. Nico.

Nico got up and shook his sister awake. "Bianca!" He yelled. "Come on we have to leave!"

His Italian accent was stronger than what I was used to. His skin was darker, not the ghostly pale that I usually see. He had regular cloths on, nothing was black.

Bianca stood up. She was taller than Nico. "You're not going anywhere," she said.

"Oh great," Nico said.

I realized that Nico was his younger self in this dream.

"Nico!" I yelled.

"Will?" He asked. "Now you're apart of this dream too?"

"No, Hestia sent me."

"Hestia can't control dreams."

"She said she can do powerful things."

"How do I know you are real?"

"Ask me something."

Nico took a moment to think. "Who was my first crush?"

I thought for a moment. I had no idea. "I'm sorry, but I don't know," I said at last.

Nico broke down in tears, then hugged me, which surprised me. He wiped some snot on my shirt, but I didn't care. I hugged him back, and he looked up at me.

"Thank you so much," he said.

He took a deep breath.

Then, I heard, "Have you forgotten about me?" Fake Bianca said.

I had totally forgotten about her, and it looked like Nico did to.

"What do you want?" Nico growled, not sounding like he was just crying.

"Just for you to stay," fake Bianca said.

She grabbed Nico's arm, and Nico winced. Her nails dug into his skin, drawing blood.

"Nico!" I screamed than ran towards him.

Then, the scene changed. Percy had his arm around Annabeth.

"Nico," Percy said. He walked up and kissed Nico.

Nico did not pull back. Percy pulled back, and stared into Nico's eyes.

"Nah," Percy said. "I don't like kissing fags."

Percy walked back to Annabeth, pushing Nico on the ground in the process.

I ran up to Nico, holding my hand out to help him up.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yep. Fine," Nico said quickly.

"What just happened?" I asked. I was very confused.

"Just a stupid crush on a straight guy," Nico said under his breath, but I could hear it perfectly.

Nico's eyes widened when he realized I heard it.

The scene shifted, and it was pitch black. Nico tapped my shoulder to let me know he was still there.

A ghost appeared, and Nico stepped back.

"Tell him," the ghost said. "Tell him you darkest secret."

"No," Nico said. "You can't do anything. You're just a dream."

"Are you sure?" The ghost raised his arms, and Nico was in the air, looking like he was being crushed.

"Stop!" I screamed.

The ghost dropped Nico, and turned go face me. "What do you mean stop?"

I felt like I was being squeezed, like a stress ball. The pain was worst than I expected.

"How do you like that?" The ghost smiled, revealing his yellow rotting teeth.

I screamed.

"What do you want?" Nico growled.

"Tell him," was all the ghost said.

"I- I'm gay," Nico stuttered.

"Not that," the ghost said, with a wicked smile.

Nico's eyes widened with realization. "Anything but that."

"Do you want Will to never wake up?" The ghost asked. How did he know my name?

Nico clenched his fists. "I- I like you Will."

"I do too," I smiled, ignoring the pain now.

The pain disappeared and the ghost also disappeared.

I hugged Nico. He looked up at me. "You- you really like me back?"

I nodded. Nico stood up on his tip toes and his lips brushed mine.

Everything started to fade around us.

Nico noticed my confusion. "I'm waking up. When I wake up, can you please let me know I wasn't dreaming this?"

I nodded. Suddenly, I sat up. I looked around, and I was still in the hades cabin. Nico was laying next to me.

"It was not a dream," I immediately blurted out.

Nico smiled, something he rarely did.

"Then I can do this," he kissed me. When he was out of breath, he leaned back. He stared into my eyes. He had dark brown eyes, and his black hair was in his face. Nico pushed a piece of my hair out of my face. I realized he was crying.

I immediately thought I did something wrong.

"These are tears of joy," Nico said.

I never imagined Nico crying for joy. But here he was.

Nico hugged me. He breathed in. His breath slowed, and he was back asleep.

I tucked him in his bed. His expression was peaceful, and thankfully he was not having a nightmare.

"Thank you Hestia," I whispered.

The hearth lit up. It made me smile.

I planted a kiss on Nico's forehead, and I was thankful I could do that now. I walked towards the Apollo cabin, with a big smile on my face.
