9: April fools day

(Nico's P.O.V)

It is finally April 1st. I have big plans for today.

I first went to the Apollo cabin. I have a plan that makes me smile just thinking about it. I knocked on the cabin door and Will opened it. I only got to stare at his beautiful blue eyes for a second, and then I shadow traveled away. I appeared in the Hades cabin when I came out of the shadows.

I heard a shriek come from outside. I laughed. I waited a few minutes, then came out, only to find Will Solace talking to Chiron, pacing.

"Hey Will!" I called.

When he turned around to face me his expression changed from worried, to relief, then to furious.

"Nico di Angelo!" He yelled. "You have no idea how much you scared me. You can't just shadow travel away. For all I could have known, you could be hurt, or in a fight with a monster."

"Happy April fools day!" I yelled.

Will groaned. "Seriously? I thought we were too old to celebrate April fools day."

"No one is too old to celebrate April fools day," I argued.

Chiron spoke up. "No more April fools day pranks. Nico, Will thought you were hurt. You could have shadow traveled right into a monster." After giving me a lecture, his face lit up with realization. "I need to go talk to the Hermes cabin. They're probably setting up pranks as we speak. Will, do you remember 3 years ago, the Hermes cabin joined up to do a prank for April fools day?"

"Yeah, I remember," Will said.

"I don't want that to happen with the new kids. I'll go talk to them. Meanwhile, no more pranks," Chiron said, looking at me.

"Okay, no more pranks," I said.

Chiron galloped off.

"Hey, Will, do you want to help me prank the Poseidon cabin?" I asked.

"I thought Chiron said no more pranks."

"He didn't make me swear. Now, come on! I want to get Percy good."

We ran off, towards the Poseidon cabin.
