21: Quest

(Will's P.O.V.)

I was in the middle of the infirmary trying to set an Ares kid's arm back in place. He got into a fight with an Aphrodite kid. Thankfully, the Aphrodite girl didn't get hurt. Nico, my brave boyfriend, stepped in and tried to stop anything that would have happened. The Ares kid attacked Nico, and thankfully Nico got away with a small sword scratch that he claimed only needed a bandage.

My half sibling, Austin, tapped me on the shoulder. "You're needed in the big house," he said.

"I'm in the middle of treating a patient," I told him.

"I'll do it. Chiron said he needed you now."

I sighed. "Fine. You just need to set his arm and give him some nectar."

"Yeah, I got it. Go."

I walked to the big house, seeing Nico next to Chiron.

"Boys, a prophecy has been issued. I believe it involves you two," Chiron said.

"What is it?" Nico asked.

"The Child of Hades shall go to the place where time stops

and face his forgotten memories with his closest friend.

He shall find the belt of love 

and will share a final kiss

in the middle of a storm

One will return, saddened and sorrowful

The other will stay for what seems like a day," Chiron repeated.

We stared at him. 

Nico started to think out loud. "The child of Hades is me, and the place where time stops, is the Lotus Hotel and Casino! We can't go there! And the my closest friend is Will. The belt of love, what would that mean? What about the forgotten memories?"

"Nico, I don't think you should try to figure it all out right now," Chiron said.

"But it's more obvious than the other prophecies. The prophecy of the 7 couldn't really be deciphered, but this is supper obvious."

"I think we should go to the Lotus Hotel and Casino first," I said. "That's what the prophecy said."

"Will, do you know what the Lotus Hotel and Casino is?" Nico asked me.

"No, I don't," I admitted.

"It's a place where time freezes. I was in there for what felt like a few months, but it ended up to be over 70 years," 

"Oh," was all I could say.

"Nico, the prophecy has to happen. You know what happens when people try to avoid the prophecies."

"Fine. Come on Will. Let's go spend another 70 years," Nico grumbled.

"Nico, I know you're upset, but-" Chiron got interrupted by Nico slamming the door.

I ran after him. "Nico!"

Nico turned around. "Leave me alone," he said.

"Great," I said under my breath.

(Nico's P.O.V.)

When I was called to the big house, I didn't know I would have to go to the Lotus Hotel and Casino. And Will is on board with the idea. How could he do that? The prophecy mentions that one of us will stay behind. How can he be okay with that? We could come back 200 years in the future. 

I ran to my cabin. Will tried to catch up to me. "Leave me alone," I told him.

He walked away. I walked into my cabin. I looked around. This might be the last time I see this cabin.
