Chloe sat in bed and held her baby daughter. She had been in labour for nearly 12 hours and she had finally given birth.

She couldn't believe she was a mum to a beautiful little girl. Iain walked in and smiled. "Hey. How's our gorgeous girl?" He asked.

"Sleeping. She's been fed and now she's sleeping. What do you think of the name Ava?" She asked.

Iain smiled. "Ava Dean?"

"Yeah. She looks like an Ava."

Iain smiled and nodded. "She's perfect."

The two of them kissed. Both unable to believe that their perfect little girl was here. Knowing she was so loved and wanted.

Iain took Ava from Chloe. He smiled. "I can't believe she's here. I'm proud of you."

"Why?"

Iain kissed her again. He smiled. "For bringing her into the world. Safe and sound. I'm gonna be the best daddy I can be to her. I promise."

Chloe had been discharged from the hospital a few days later. Iain was reluctantly going back to work. He knew he didn't want to. But aria was coming to sit with Chloe and Ava for the day.

Iain looked to her. "Are you going to be okay?" He asked as he held Ava.

Chloe nodded. "Yes. My sister is on her way here now. Me and Ava will be fine," she told him.

Iain smiled. He didn't want to leave them so soon. But he also wanted to earn the money so their daughter would be happy.

He wanted to make sure Ava had everything he never did. A warm home. But more importantly, he wanted her to have the perfect family.

He knew how they were going to have their challenges. He was expecting it. They had a newborn. But he was going to do all he could to make it work.

Aria walked into the house. She smiled as she saw her sister sitting there. "Now. Let me have cuddles with my favourite niece."

"Shes your only niece you banana. But here you go. Mummy needs to go pee. Which stings like an absolute bitch."

"She's worth it though."

Aria smiled as she took her niece. She held her close. "Aunty Aria loves you so much. She can't wait to spoil you," she said.

Chloe smiled as she walked off upstairs. She knew she was struggling with the after affects of having a baby. But she didn't want to stress.

***
Iain was sitting in the ambulance bay. He was looking at a photo of Ava he had. He knew becoming a dad would change his life. But he just never expected him to feel so full like he did.

Having Ava had made him realise he was going to do whatever he could to keep her safe. To look out for her. And to make her realise that she was loved.

***
Chloe looked up as Iain walked in. He walked over to her and smiled. "You know, I think we could do with some time away. Me, you and Ava."

Chloe looked to him. She smiled. "Oh?"

Iain nodded and smiled. "Yeah. Just pack up in a few weeks and have a week away."

"Sounds good."

The two of them kissed as Iain pulled away. But would things work between them? Knowing that it wasn't going to be easy.
