Both Meredith and Melissa were in the elevator when the doors opened and George ran into it.
"George." Both Mel and Meredith said.
"I gotta find Izzie," George said in a hurry to the two women.
"We have rounds in five minutes." Meredith reminded him.
"George why are you looking for Izzie," Mel tried to ask before he walked out of the elevator leaving the two women confused.
" He did something, Mer," Mel said in a concerned voice.
Before Mer could say anything Derek entered the elevator which caused Mel to know that it was her queue to leave the elevator so she decided at that moment that she was going to take the stairs.
"Bye Mer, Hi Derek," Mel said as the elevator doors closed while waving goodbye.

Mel was in the ER when finishing stitches when she noticed that Cristina and her interns had entered.
"Hi Cristina, you stuck in the ER with me," Mel said to her friend that looked bored to be in the ER.
Before Cristina said anything to Mel both their pagers went off telling them to prepare for an incoming patient and were needed in a trauma room with Shepherd.
"Let's go Cristina before Shepherd loses his cool," Mel said as she headed into the trauma room with her interns.

In the viewing room Cristina, Derek, Melissa, Lexie, and Emily Rodrigez were examining the patient's x-rays.
"I can't believe that kid's dad. I mean, his son is paralyzed, and the guy's still riding him." Lexie said to everyone.
" Yeah, he wouldn't stop even after we told him the risks," Emily added.
"Focus more on the medicine, three, and less on the tragedy," Cristina said in response to the intern's comments.
"Rodrigez we don't make assumptions about anybody we don't know their story, so let's try and offer him the best care and not pay attention to the father," Mel added to Cristina's comment which caused the intern to nod her head.
"Three? Is that a nickname?" Derek asked.
"You could say that," Lexie respond.
