There's this person in my head. She is brilliant and capable. She can do chest tubes and craniotomies. She can run a code without freaking out. She's an excellent surgeon. Maybe even a great surgeon. She's me. It's only so much better.
"Remind me why I haven't ripped this so Cristina doesn't have to see this," Melissa questioned as Meredith approached the poster.
"Has Cristina seen it? Let's take it down." Meredith asked as Mel nodded in agreement.
"You can't take it down," Izzie stated.
"Take it down. Take it down." Meredith said in unison with Melissa. " She never has to know."
"She's gonna hear about it." Alex pointed out.
Unaware of all the interns Cristina approached them quietly as they argued.
"Who's gonna hear about what? " Cristina said startling the interns.
"Move your hand. Oh, come on. Move it. " Christina said to Melissa which revealed to be an article about Burke winning the Harper Avery Award.
"Good for him," Cristina said as she walked away.
" I told you we should have taken it down," Melissa said as Meredith and her followed after.

Melissa and Meredith were unable to continue to follow after Cristina due to having to go meet with Derek.
"We need to get aggressive with the virus. If we inject the tumor in two sites, we can saturate it and have a real impact. Okay, now needle number one will go into the tumor here. Needle number two goes right here. Now for the virus to take full effect, we need to inject it at the same time. At the same time. You're needle number two. Don't be nervous. We're gonna practice. Now. we'll use the fluorescein to help us dilate the tumor from the surrounding tissue." Derek explained to the interns.
"Okay," Meredith said as Melissa nodded in agreement.
"Now remember. We have to be completely in sync. Okay? Let me know when you're ready." Derek said to Meredith.
" Mel next practice we will try it together," Derek stated to Melissa.

Melissa found herself in the cafeteria as Meredth prepped their patient.
" So what is that," Melissa sat down beside Alex and Lexie.
Before Melissa could get a response she was interrupted by George.
"I need your form. Lexie and Mel, I need you to fill out a form." George said as he handed the women a form.
"What's this? " Lexie questioned as Melissa inspected.
