Sorry guys for the long wait! Life kinda happened and I was busy as it was my birthday! Well also factor in writer's block... yeah that is why it took me more than my usual month to update... Anyways I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Reina was not pleased. Her plans for a simple and quiet life were being foiled right before her eyes.

Why? Because after learning that she was the subject of two prophecies, not one or none, and she was starting to flip out. According to her mother and her tribe, she is the chosen host ( but I am the chosen one! *Shut it Harry*) of the Sun Spirit. Oh, and according to the Fire Nation tradition, she is a flame-touched child...

Reina was starting to feel the main character syndrome and it was starting to worry her.

Thankfully (or not) her worry was placed aside for a while with Roo's return and a new letter from her mother's mysterious friend. Yet another part of her mother's backstory that was shrouded in mystery. This time though, the letter came bearing good news. The unnamed friend's son was, in fact, a firebender and all was well in the household, as well as a new addition to the family was expected.

Reina was happy that her fellow child wouldn't be in a difficult situation because of his bending status. But still, something itched in the back of her brain. For some reason, she had this sense of déjà vu. She just couldn't put her finger on it. So because of this uneasiness, Reina decided she is just going to question her mother once again.

Now you might be asking what the yield was... well... not much.

"Mama, when did you meet your friend?"

"I met her on my travels. After leaving my village I started travelling the Fire Nation and on my stop in Hira'a, I met my best friend. She is such a sweet and warm person and I'm sure she is a great mother to her boy and the little one she has on the way!" her mother explained. The name Hira'a seemed so familiar to Reina but not quite at the same time,

"Where is she now?" Reina questioned further,

"After she married, she moved to the Fire Nation Capital at the request of her husband. You know I was there when he came to ask for her hand in marriage. It was a big deal at the time, that a Fire Nation aristocrat would come to seek a small-town girl for her hand in marriage." Tonalli reminisced

"So what if he was an aristocrat? Everyone should be able to marry anyone!" Reina childishly declared,

"Yes, you are right but I am afraid people judge needlessly, my Reina. Now, why don't you play with Roo while I write my response?" Tonalli asked,

"Okay!" Reina exclaimed, excited at the prospect of playing with Roo

So yeah, Reina's sleuthing was unsuccessful... She really tried but her mother, as you can see, was a master in diverting the subject. This time bringing Reina's attention to Roo and her desire to play with him knowing that would override her curiosity about Tonalli's past. Compare that to last time, when they were talking about Tonalli's tribe, Tonalli diverted Reina's questioning with the opportunity to learn how to make flower crowns which once again outweighed Reina's curiosity.

Reina, as of yet, hadn't noticed this and was oblivious to her mother's innocent manipulations, as her attention was always drawn to things she wanted to learn or do that she hadn't experienced in her last lifetime, like playing with a freaking crow or making flower crowns.

Though as Reina was petting Roo, who once again was making happy caws, her mind wandered back to the apparent main character syndrome that she was now a victim of. Why was she the subject of two prophecies? Was it all just a big coincidence? Or was it the universe's way of explaining her existence in it? Reina couldn't know, not with her limited knowledge of the world and limited information about her rebirth.
