The One You Shouldn't Have Let Go [Douma x Modern reader]

She is really trouble some

I sat in my room forums in quietness

God I need to get out of here

I stood up

I need to get to the town.... I need to see if the demon slayers are here...

I decided to wait till morning when Douma had his cult duties to attend to

It's now about the late morning

Douma is doing his duties as cult leaders and is attending to his followers and helping 'heal' them

I then walk out and walk to the garden

Come to think of it , I've never left the temple without being escorted by someone.... How pitiful

I then started walking down the pathway to the town below the temple

I see people coming up , some happy as hell , some just plain , some sad and in tears , some beaten and bruised , some sick

All of them are seeing him for some reason

How could you put your trust on someone so.....purely evil.....

I finally got down the path to the town

I see the building still where they were from the last time I came down I walked and walked in search one thing

Demon Slayers

I kept my eye out for the uniform of one but for the longest time I couldn't fucking find one

I stopped walking for a bit before I saw a man with annoyingly bright hair

That brightly colored flame like hair....

Rengoku!!!!

I felt my legs move withought me thinking

Soon enough I grabbed the man's shoulder turning him to me

"Are you alright miss?" He asks , I understand him , I'd been practicing it for this exact moment

But

I froze

"Miss...are you alright?" He asked again but I didn't answer

Why was my body shutting down now? Why now of all times when I'm about to get the help of a hashira?!

My breath hitched as it quickened, Rengoku seemed to notice as he grabs my hand gently and leads me to a quiet ally way

But my breath doesn't slow down , it only quickens

Rengoku now has my hands in his

"Miss you must calm down" he explained , it was t that I couldn't understand him

I just couldn't speak , I was scared

What if Douma already found out I left and was coming for me

What if he knows I'm trying to get help and kills me?

My hand then comes to my chest grabbing onto the Gabriel of my kimono

"Miss do you speak Japanese?" He asks as he puts his hand on my shoulder  helping me to my knees

I couldn't only Shake my head no to his question

"Alright , it's okay just breath " he says now rubbing my back in circles , like you would do a baby crying

Soon enough my breathing slows down and I tear up

"Please forgive me!!" I yelled looking at him as tears flossed my eyes but yet to spill

He looked at me and grabs my shoulder

"It's quite alright , do not worry I am here to help you no matter what the problem is" he explained

I assumed he didn't know whether or not I thought he was someone else and had an anxiety attack over it

Or as true , saw an opportunity to run but was too scared of being caught again

"Do you mind telling me why you were so upset?" He started but I had no answer

The young lady who was just having a panic attack sat on her knees in front of me

I had no idea what was going on

"Do you mind telling me why you were so upset?" I ask but she does not answer

I now had to ask the wi I truely did not want to ask

"Is someone hurting you?" I ask seriously

The young lady froze up as the years she had been holding fell

This alerted me

So someone is hurting this young lady!!

This is unforgivable!!

The young lady shook her head though , despite her tears and sobs she still wanted to deny it

Even being in danger she only denied

This worried me to no end

She is terrified

"I-I , I can't t-tell you I-I'm sorry!" She finally talks , I feud my teeth at the young women

She is terrified that she can barely speak

Whether or not this person hurt her or not it's obvious she is still shaken

I rub her back more trying to comfort her the best way I could

"This person cannot hurt you , youre safe right miss" I say seeing her tears dry up a little

It's only now that she looked at me

It's only just now that I can see just how scared she is

"There is a upper rank demon here! One of the top 3 , please be carful!!" I say standing up and running off

I can only hope he sends someone stronger

An upper moon!? This am isn't good at all , and she said it was one of the top 3

I knew this young lady was in grave danger

I need to save her!!!
