"Sometimes, I think you want to kill me." Michael grumbled as he looked down below him at the ground. Leia laughed. They were up in the treehouse again, the one Michael had fallen out of when they were little.
"We've done this hundreds of times now Michael." Leia reminded him.
"Yeah and I've been just as scared all those other hundreds of times." He replies with a roll of his eyes. Leia grins. "It scarred me. I'll never be the same." Michael continued dramatically, making Leia laughed. "Shh. Your brother will hear, or your mom." He was right of course. It was late, the two of them shouldn't be up, but as usual, here they were hanging out in the dead of night in the tree house.
"Oh it doesn't matter if they catch us." Leia says waving him away. "They already know we come out here all the time like this."
"Yeah but still it's weird being caught." Michael said, wrinkling his nose.
"No, you think it's weird. I think it's perfectly normal. It's no fun if you're not caught." Leia said, crossing her arms and leaning against one of the branches of the tree.
"So all those other times where we haven't been caught weren't fun for you?" Leia laughed.
"Oh shut up Mr. Solo."
"Whatever Princess." Michael replied, hitting her leg lightly. "So why are we out here?" Michael asked as he settled down across from her. Leia grinned and pulled her backpack off her shoulders before opening it up.
"For a drink." She said with a grin, handing Michael a can of beer. It was still cold.
"Leia." Michael said sternly as she popped the top to her own can.
"What?" She questioned as she began to take a drink from it. Michael took the can from her. "Hey!" She cried out. "That's mine. I gave you your own." She said trying to take it back from him.
"We're not drinking up here ten feet away from your brother and your mother and where did you even get this?" Michael demanded gesturing with the cans at her. Leia frowned.
"Does it matter? Just give me it back." She said, making a grab for it.
"Was it Ashton?" Michael asked, moving his arm back. "Tell me or I'll dump it out." He said, getting ready to pour it over the edge of the tree house.
"I have more." Leia said with a scowl. But Michael was clearly pissed off so she didn't push him by taking another can out of her bag. "It wasn't Ashton. I grabbed a six pack at a party I went too. Everybody was too drunk too notice and Ashton says he does it all the time." Leia paused as Michael scowled. "Okay maybe it was a little bit of Ashton's fault."
"Whatever, I'm pouring it out." Leia watched as a stream of liquid was poured out of the can.
"Stop!" Leia groaned.
"Why?" Michael demanded, lifting his hand up so it would stop pouring out.
"Because you're wasting perfectly good alcohol." Michael continued pouring it out. "And because I want to drink with my best friend. Is that so bad?"
"I'm not drinking with you." Michael said fiercely. "Luke would kill me."
"Luke isn't here." Michael was afraid she'd say something like that. "Just have one beer with me. Nothing's going to happen. You're right here!" Michael rolled his eyes. "Come on, it's better than me being at a party right?" Leia said, playing up the safe drinking card.
"No, all underage drinking is bad." Leia scoffed.
"You sound like a dad." She muttered. Michael said nothing. He couldn't fire back a comeback because after her fight with Luke, he noticed how touchy the subject of a father was. Michael never really thought about it because it never seemed to bother the twins. They both grew up in a happy home with lots of love, they just didn't have a dad.
