"Guys?" Luke said slowly looking up from the finished product in his hands. Calum glanced up at him but his eyes moved back down to the guitar in his hands which he was mindlessly strumming. Michael wasn't even paying attention. "We've done it. Or I've done it. No that's right, we've done it." He said, excitement building in his voice.

"What?" Calum asked, even though he already knew the answer.

"We finished the song." Calum rolled his eyes and threw imaginary confetti in the air. Luke grinned then burst out laughing.

"Should we throw a fuckin parade?" Calum asked. Luke rolled his eyes.

"Oh come on, this is important. It's actually really important. We're finally getting somewhere." Calum looked at Michael so he could voice his agreement but Michael was off in his own little world again. Luke shook his head and laughed again.

"No, uh, this is good and you're right but we're going to need more than one song and a couple videos of us fuckin around on YouTube." Calum rolled his eyes at Luke.

"I wouldn't call that fuckin around." Michael said, snapping out of his daze momentarily.

"Well we still need a drummer and more songs." Luke said, shifting the papers around in front of him searching for his song lyric book. "Okay? Anyways, it's time for another band meeting. Since we finished our first song, I think we should try it out and then come up with a couple more. Sound good?" Calum nodded but Luke couldn't tell if it was because of the beat he was playing on his guitar or if he was nodding in agreement.

Luke continued looking for his journal with the lyrics while Calum began sending bizarre snapchats to his other friends. Michael was, as always, thinking about his current situation.

He needed to break up with Alyssa. He didn't even want to start dating her in the first place, as he kept reminding himself. He'd only done it to keep Leia happy (which in turn made him happy), but it was also making him miserable. He'd thought that maybe, with time, he could forget about Leia and learn to love Alyssa, but no such luck so far. If anything, it just made him realize how much more he liked Leia. Why was life so confusing for him?

Luke finally found his book, which Calum had been lying on top of. He turned around realized Michael was thinking again. That was like the millionth time that day. He knew what was bugging him because it was bugging all of them, his relationship with Alyssa.

"Michael! Hey Mikey!" Luke said using his childhood nickname.

"What?" Michael asked.

"What's been up with you lately? You've been zoning out a lot and have been looking pretty serious lately. We know this is about Alyssa so start taking before I drag Leia down here and tell her who you really want as your girlfriend."

"It's about Alyssa" Calum confirmed for Michael. "Michael, just break up with the girl. She's making you miserable and in turn, you're making us miserable." Calum grumbled. It had been a week. One single miserable week. Michael couldn't take it anymore. He didn't care if Leia would be upset, he didn't want to be with Alyssa anymore. No, he couldn't be with Alyssa anymore.

There was nothing wrong with her, of course there wasn't. Alyssa was pretty. She was blonde, skinny, popular and for some reason, had taken a liking to Michael. None of those things were bad, what was bad was that Michael wasn't into her. Every time Alyssa kissed him, he pretended it was Leia. That's what was bad. He was lying to her. Leading her on. He had to break it off. He just didn't know how.

"I don't know how to break up with her without crushing her into a thousand tiny pieces." Michael complained. Calum snorted.

"You're breaking up with someone not killing their puppy. She'll get over you. You're not that important Mr. Solo." Calum said with a shake of his head, teasing Michael. Michael jsut groaned though.

"Why don't you ask Leia about how to break up with her?" Luke asked. "She might know the best way to break with a girl, being a girl and all." He continued with a shrug of his shoulders.

"I don't want to tell her." Michael muttered, running a hand through his hair.

"Why?" Calum asked with a sigh even though he already knew the answer,

"Because Leia set us up." Luke, Calum and Michael all said in unison.

"And what makes Leia happy, makes you happy." Calum finished. Luke sighed at Michael's defeated look.

"Come on man, why don't you just tell my sister how you feel? She's not seeing anyone." Thats where Luke was wrong, because Leia was seeing someone and only Michael knew.

"I'll talk to Leia about it." Was Michael's reply. He didn't want to say anything that might give Leia and Ashton away. Michael wasn't sure how long Leia was going to keep him a secret. He was wondering why she was doing it in the first place. Sure he was older, but not by much. There must be something else. Something she wasn't telling him. As soon as the words left his lips, Leia came running up the stairs.

"Hey weirdos!" She said as she poked her head through Luke's open door. "Just came to check on you guys and see if you needed anything." Leia smiled brilliantly. The boys turned to Michael and he knew he had to tell her. He couldn't date Alyssa anymore.

"Hey, Leia. Can I tell you something?"

"Ya anything." She answered a bit curiously, one blonde eyebrow arching. Michael opened his mouth to continue but Leia interrupted. "Oh, and before I forget, Alyssa called and said she couldn't wait until your next date. So I hope you don't mind, but I set up a double date with me, Jerome, you and Alyssa this Saturday!" Luke rolled his eyes at the mention of Jerome.

Jerome was a guy in our class who was so flamboyant he probably sneezed rainbows. I knew him and Leia were friends so maybe that's why she used his name instead of Ashton's. I knew who she was really seeing though.

"So what was it you needed to tell me?" Leia was smiling again and the words, I want to break up with Alyssa, got stuck in his throat. Michael swallowed hard. God, what was he supposed to say? What was he supposed to do? Michael thought. Everyone was waiting. Michael sighed and a voice whispered in the back of his mind to, Play along.

"I was just going to say," Michael began. Calum motioned him forward. Luke sat in anticipation. "That Alyssa already told me about the date and I was wondering where we were going." It rushed out all at once, Michael's tongue tripping over every word as it left his mouth. Luke hit the heel of his hand against his forehead and Calum shook his head but Leia didn't take notice.

"Nowhere really. Just to the park. Should be fun right?" No. Swinging on swings and sliding down slides with Alyssa, Leia and Ashton would not be fun. He didn't even think it was in his vocabulary at this point. "Anyways, I'll see you guys later!" Leia said turning back around. She planted a kiss to her brothers cheek and left. Closing the door behind her.

The boys immediately turned to Michael and rolled their eyes in sync at his stupidity. Michael just shook his head at what he'd done. He couldn't believe he had just gone along with that. But he hadn't expected Leia to bring up a double date and he felt kind of bad about lying to her. Then again, he's lied to her about his feelings for this long. All other lies paled in comparison to this one. God, he was so stupid!

Miserable Michael would just have to wait until Saturday, thanks to his own stupidity. The question was, when should he break up with her?
