"Leia come on. It's not so bad." Ashton argued over the music as he tried to pull me outside. "You already smoke cigarettes." Leia rolled her eyes at him.

"Yeah but this is different. I won't be that aware of my surroundings or anything for that matter." Ashton grinned.

"Then try not to get so faded."

"How am I supposed to do that? We're smoking marijuana Ash." He smirked and shrugged like it wasn't his problem, which it wasn't. Leia sighed.

"Fine. I'll smoke marijuana with you this one time." She shouted as he slid open the sliding glass door and stepped out onto the patio.

That one time turned into two, then three then twenty. Leia usually only smoked at parties, which she went too often with Ashton on the weekends. If Michael or Luke knew how often she snuck out of the house or lied about spending time with her girlfriends, she'd never hear the end of it.

They'd call her reckless and say that her behavior was juvenile. They'd reprimand her for having a little fun and going out with her boyfriend and she didn't want to hear about it. She knew what she was doing was illegal but as the saying goes, something so bad it just had to be good, Leia couldn't stop herself from drinking and smoking underage.

Besides, what her brother and best friends didn't know, wouldn't hurt them.

Leia still couldn't believe they let Ashton be in their band. She knows how much the band means to Luke and she also knows how much he doesn't like Ashton so when Ashton told her he had "auditioned" for their band, he called it more of a formality. Ashton said he knew they couldn't let him go, he was just too good, and Leia thought he might have been messing with her.

Upon getting home though and asking her brother herself he grumbled under his breath saying that he was good, the best he'd heard so far. That made Leia smile but she couldn't help but notice how Michael scowled on the couch.

They've been a band for a week now and Ashton has showed up to every practice so far. Leia even introduced her to their mom as her boyfriend. She had eyed Ashton skeptically but didn't voice any opinion about him until later that evening. After learning he was nineteen, Leia and Luke's mom pursed her lips and told her daughter to simply make good choices and never let him do anything that made Leia uncomfortable. Luke was unhappy with this. He thought their mom would forbid her from seeing him.

Leia was aware of the fact that Ashton was a bad influence on her but by this point, she didn't very much care. She liked being his girlfriend and she liked everything that came with it. Especially the partying. Leia knew Ashton was trouble from the moment they met. He was like poison and oh did she love the taste.

Another night, another phone call to wake Michael up. He sat up with barely a groan. He just stared blankly at his closet before picking the phone up off his dresser. Without even looking at the Caller ID, he answered. "Yes Leia?" Michael expected her to be a giggly, bubbly mess but instead, she was crying. "Shit, Leia what's wrong?" Michael demanded throwing off his covers and grabbing his shoes.

"I'm.. Im lost." She hiccuped. Michael swore.

"Lost?" He growled. "You're not at a party?" Leia started crying again, sobbing into the receiver.

"I don't know where I am Michael please help me." She wailed. Michael grabbed his jacket and keys before heading down the stairs. He wasn't even trying to be quiet at this point.

"Leia what the fuck happened?" He demanded, barreling out the front door.

"I don't know! I just don't know where I am and I'm scared." Michael paused as he was about to unlock his truck door. Her voice sounded close. Like, across the street close. Looking up, Michael found Leia wandering around in a circle outside her house. Michael swore and clicked the end button before marching right over it her.

She looked confused that the call had ended. Leia was dialing his number again when he walked up. She gassed upon seeing him. "Michael!" She exclaimed throwing her arms around him. Michael caught her but didn't hug her back at first. He was poised at her for scaring him.

"What the hell Leia?" He demanded pushing her back. She stared at him confused. "Why'd you call me telling me you were lost? You scared the crap out of me." Leia sniffles and her bottom lip trembles.

"I am lost." She whispers. "How did you find me so quickly." She whispered. Michael was at a loss for words.

"Leia, you're in front of your house." Michael said gesturing behind her. "This is our street. You're not lost." Leia looked around as if seeing everything for the first time.

"How did I get out here?" She whispered. That's when Michael smelled it. Bringing his phone back out, he shined the light from the screen into her eyes. They were red, bloodshot.

"Are you fucking high?" Michael demanded. Leia started laughing.

"Yeah I think. That's why I'm outside because I wanted to get high and oh.." She paused. Her eyes went wide as she looked up at Michael. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed hugging him again. Michael sighed and hugged her back.

"Where the hell did you get marijuana from? Or do I even need to ask?" Michael demanded as soon as they broke away. Leia stared at the ground, looking really guilty.

"Ashton." She murmured. Michael scoffed.

"Why am I not surprised?" Leia giggled. Michael was funny when he was angry, eyebrows arched down and scowling. Leia knew she shouldn't giggle but she couldn't help it.

"Oh Michael you're so cute." Leia blurted out. Under different circumstances, Michael would have been flustered but he was too pissed off to be.

"You're going back into your room. Sleep with the window open because you smell like shit." Michael said turning her around and moving her towards the front door of her house.

"But I'll be noisy! I'll wake up Luke." Leia half whispered, half shouted. Michael rolled his eyes.

"Just figure it out. You got down here fine enough." Leia pouted.

"Can't you just come with me?" She begged, tugging on the sleeve for his jacket. Michael wanted to say no. He wanted to walk away. He hated that Leia called him in the middle of the night. They were friends, best friends, but she couldn't keep doing this to him. He was going to go insane. She was asking for too much by having him go pick her up when she was drunk and not ow she was getting high too! Michael hated that he would drop everything just to please her.

"Fine. But I put you in bed and then I leave." Leia smiled happily. Grabbing his hand she pulled him inside and whispered to him excitedly the entire time.

"Michael, you have to get high with me sometime. It's the greatest experience and the smell stops bothering you after awhile. I've smoked maybe half a dozen times now." Michael swore under his breath as Leia opened her bedroom door. Michael quickly closed it behind them. Her room reeked of marijuana.

"Jesus Leia, what are you trying to do?" Michael demanded marching straight to the window and throwing it open beofe turning on her ceiling fan and the fan on her desk.

"Aw Michael." Leia pouted.

"I like the way it smells in here." She complained, flopping onto her bed. Michael rolled his eyes.

"Go to sleep. I'm going to go." Michael said heading for the open window.

"You're not to going to take the stairs?" Leia asked snuggling down into her blankets. They were so soft she wanted to be buried in them. Michael shook his head.

"I'm not risking letting anymore of this getting out of your room. Hopefully, for your sake, it's gone by morning." Michael said, climbing out of the window.

"But you're afraid of heights." Leia murmured staring at him with wide eyed wonder.

"I'll get over it." Michael grumbled. He made quick work of getting out of her room and climbing down the rose trestle before walking back across the street to his house. When he glanced back at Leia's window she was waving goodbye to him excitedly. Michael sighed and waved goodbye.
