Diluc waits patiently at the giant tree at Windrise, seeing the day becoming night very slowly
"Hmm," Diluc wasn't usually nervous when fighting enemies, because he knows he can beat them in one go
But this time, something felt off, and he was feeling a small shiver of worry, looking around as he heard birds, fish, foxes, and other creatures doing their own thing
Diluc watches the sky finally become night, and he pulls out his claymore, listening to the sounds around him
He hears a small grunt, and waited with his eyes closed, hearing his enemies were approaching rapidly and quietly
"I see you're here looking for me?" He chuckles, running forward as he swung his giant sword at some hilichurls holding bows
They shot elemental arrows, one cryo, a pyro, and electro, but all missed him as he swiftly dodged every arrow
He looks back, seeing some with clubs, and uses his skill as pyro covered his entire sword, hitting his enemies as they burned from his attack
He then hears Abyss mages, cheering as they shot elemental magic at him
Ice traveled towards him as he jumped away, seeing it was following him fast
He swung at the ice, breaking it from following him as he swung his sword hard, creating an eagle of flames, flying towards them, burning as they were pushed back
"Seize him!" A mage said angrily as Diluc noticed he was going to be surrounded, so he climbed the tree, glided for a bit, and slammed down with his sword, making every enemy fall back as rocks and dirt flew everywhere
He made a run for it, heading north, thinking of heading towards Stormbearer Point
He used the Whispering Woods to get some cover as the Abyss followed in pursuit
He climbed over trees and glided towards one after the other, noticing it was making the hilichurls confused, looking everywhere for him
He lost them, getting out of the woods, happy no one followed, but an ice arrow caught his eye as he barely dodged it, feeling a tiny icicle mask forming on his cheek, then melted when he summoned his eagle and shot at them, swinging his sword as hard as he could
He passes Starfell Lake, and stops to fight the ones close by to him, to get some distance from the farther ones
They were mostly Mitachurls, hilichurls, but bigger, and they use a shield, and throw anything they have at you
Diluc uses his flames to burn their shields, burning them as well as they growled in pain, shaking their shields to put out the fire, but it broke, leaving them defenseless
They smashed their knuckles, roared, and charged at him, only to be slashed by his sword as he finished them off, running away as he got better distance from the other enemies
He arrives to Stormbearer Point, but he had a plan to kill them off at the highest mountain point of the area, so he heads towards the tallest mountain, climbing as he swerved from the elemental arrows shooting at him
He made it to one of the layers of the top mountain, and the Abyss Mages teleported in front of him, only this time, a hydro, electro, and pyro Abyss mages were with the cryo one
"Shit!" Diluc hisses as he used his sword covered in flames to finish off the electro and cryo, but not much happened to the pyro or hydro
"I'm done for," he mumbles, but was shocked when he saw ice freezing the hydro, and anemo swirled, melting the pyro shield as Diluc finished them off
"Huh? Aether?" Diluc was surprised to see the traveler, along with Paimon as they smiled, and they looked back, making Diluc frustrated with his other rescuer, but glad he had help
"Kaeya," he grunts, and his brother gives him a smile as he used his sword, freezing the enemies behind Diluc as Aether used his wind power to finish them off
"Paimon heard danger, and when we noticed it was you, I suggested we came to help you," Kaeya says in a suave voice tone, making Diluc upset and shakes his head, seeing it was Aether and Paimon that found him and rescued him
"I'm heading towards the tallest point in Stormbearer Point, don't fall behind," Diluc heads off as Aether and Paimon followed, along with Kaeya behind
The 4 made it to the top as they looked to see a wave of hilichurls, mitachurls, mages, and samachurls were surrounding the 4
"Aether! You can do it!" Paimon yells as Diluc used his flames, Kaeya used his ice as they spiked through the enemies, and Aether summoned a wind tornado, catching the ice as it changed color and freezing the enemies
Diluc used his eagle again, and his sword was once again glowing from the flames, and Kaeya summoned 4 icicles swirling around him, freezing and slashing every enemy as Diluc melted his ice, and killed them after Kaeya passed by every enemy
They finished the wave, but behind them, an Abyss mage appeared out of nowhere, keeping an eye on Kaeya, and throws a potion
"Kaeya!" Aether, who was far and not able to reach him, caught his attention, as Kaeya's eye grew bigger from the shock
"Nooo!" Diluc shoves him away, getting hit by the potion himself, and grunts in pain, making Kaeya surprised from his actions
"Darn it! Well, at least I got him then!" The mage laughs as Diluc grunted in pain, staying on the ground as more enemies were heading towards them
"Diluc!" Kaeya ran to help him, but an arrow stopped him as the mage grabbed Diluc from his ankle and started pulling him towards the edge
"Once it is complete, all of you will forget he was even your friend, ally, or comrade!" The mage laughs evilly as Diluc was seeing his surroundings blurry
Aether grabbed Kaeya as both slashed the mage, but jumped a little too far from the edge, and Paimon couldn't hold them up high
Both glided down, seeing Diluc squirming violently, and screaming as the potion was doing its effect
The 3 hid away, seeing a wave of purple flow all through Mondstadt, and heard Diluc scream loud, and everything felt silent, giving the 3 a headache and they all fell to sleep
