After their failed plan, still become a success, Kaeya leaves them, heading to see his brother as Aether wanted to follow him, but Albedo stops him
"Let him go, either way, the curse says he needs to be the one to help him break it, alone," Albedo says as Aether agrees and sits down
Kaeya sees Diluc was out, looking at the sunset as his hair flowed softly. Like a bright candle when a light wind blows on it
"Mind if I join you?" Kaeya asks, as he stayed at the top of the mountain, noticing that even when Diluc is sitting down, half of his upper body passed the highest point
"Sure," Diluc says as he kept staring at the sky, and Kaeya sits on the edge, his legs hanging as he swung them slowly
"Sooo, our plan kinda failed, and succeeded at the same time," Kaeya chuckles as he explained the scenario to Diluc
He was shocked to hear Diluc chuckle, then laugh like a normal person, for he never laughed, not like back then
Kaeya gasped proudly, and smiles as Diluc saw it from the corner of his eye, meeting Kaeya's single eye as the captain gasped softly
"Typical Knight of Favonius move," he laughs again, making Kaeya smile, laughing along with him
Kaeya: You know, it's been years since I last heard you laugh
Diluc: I know
Kaeya: Diluc, once everything goes back to normal, will it still continue?
Diluc: Continue what?
Kaeya: The whole 'avoiding each other' thing we do
Diluc: You know what? I won't if you won't
Kaeya felt a tear stream down. Diluc saddened, thinking he said something wrong, but Kaeya stood up, waving his hand for Diluc to come closer
Diluc turned around and scooched closer to the mountain, and Kaeya hugs him from the bridge of his nose, feeling more tears coming as Diluc sighs
"Enough with the tears," he says softly, and his hand makes contact with Kaeya's head, rubbing it softly as Kaeya chokes a laugh and rubs his eye
"Want me to show you something? You know, being a giant has its perks," Diluc says as he kneels, placing his hand in front of the mountain
Kaeya walks onto his hand, falls from the movement, and was moved to his brother's shoulder
He jumps off from the hand and holds onto Diluc's black outfit collar, feeling a roller coaster ride as Diluc stood up
He could see most of the entire nation of the 4 Winds, and he was smiling wide
Diluc strolls away, showing him Andrius' arena, the Whispering Woods, the Thousand Wind Temple, Windrise, and more, but stayed away from the city and areas travelers pass by
He gave Kaeya a ride, as Kaeya enjoyed the view, feeling like a little kid when he was with his family....
"Family," Kaeya mumbled, and Diluc hums, and goes back to Stormbearer Point as he placed his brother down gently
"Diluc, how would our lives be if father never died?" Kaeya asked, feeling sadness from remembering his past
"Well, we wouldn't be like this towards each other. We might have been -"
"Closer," Kaeya says as Diluc nods. Their father, well, for Kaeya, adoptive father, Crepus, died from using a Delusion, a Vision that had dark powers, and was made by the Fatui, along with a monster that took his life for loosing control of the Delusion
Kaeya wished he arrived on time that day, but if he did, would he have received a Vision? Would he and Diluc become true brothers, despite being adopted?
Diluc sighs and caresses his brother, using his thumb and stroke Kaeya's back as he smiled meekly
"Stop thinking about it, what's past is past," Diluc says and smiles softly
Kaeya pushes his thumb away and both lean their heads close
Kaeya felt his brother's warmth radiating as he enjoyed this touch, a brotherly love kind
"KAEYA?!" A voice jolted both brothers as they spotted Amber, shaking in fear as she pointed at Diluc
"Amber, I can explain!" Kaeya says as Diluc stands up, scaring her more as she shot a flame arrow
"NO!" Kaeya uses his sword as Amber shot up, missing by a longshot
"RUN, DILUC!" He yells as Diluc runs away, Amber keeping her eye on the giant as she tried to swerve away from Kaeya
He used ice, and she dodged it, and he and her fought as she noticed it was a distraction, for she had lost her target
"THE KNIGHTS WILL HAVE A WORD WITH YOU, CAPTAIN KAEYA!" Amber panics as Kaeya couldn't let that happen
He tackles the young outrider and uses the hilt of his sword to knock her out, only for a short period of time
He drags her into a small cave, hiding her as he placed rocks to protect her from the monsters, and freezed them together, making it harder for her to escape, but her being a pyro, won't last too long
"I must tell the others," Kaeya says as he runs to Mondstadt, in fear of what he had done, and for Diluc's safety, for he has been spotted
"I shouldn't have done that," he regretted having Diluc show him the entire nation, which is the reason he was caught, and now, his memories come back, feeling guilt as he knew he was the blame for everything
Kaeya Alberich, the blame for every situation he gets into, and now Diluc is in danger
"Fuck you, father!" He curses at himself, knowing if his father hadn't left him as a Khaenri'ahn spy in Mondstadt, none of this would even exist or happen
Or maybe, he wouldn't have met Diluc or Crepus, or Mondstadt, his new home
