"Diluc, was this the potion?" Kaeya asks as Diluc grunts, "Yes, along with erasing people's memory, but, what I don't understand is...how come you 2 remember me?"
Aether explains to Diluc about how he is not from this world, which is believable, and Kaeya, being part Khaenri'ahn, is why he too remembers
"Ah, so I see," Diluc heads back inside the cave and lies down, facing his back towards them
"Leave Diluc to me, Aether," Kaeya says as Aether agrees and heads back to Mondstadt
"Is there some way to change you back?" Kaeya asks, his voice hinting some worry, making Diluc turn and look at him, his seriousness giving Kaeya a chill, despite him being pyro
Even Diluc's vision grew with him, and seeing it made Kaeya look away, remembering their past
Diluc sits up, looking down at his brother as Kaeya looks up, and sighs, "There is a way, but I don't like it."
Kaeya: Oh? And how?
Diluc: I need help from someone close
Kaeya: Perhaps Aether can help
Diluc: No, I mean family close
Kaeya: Wait, are you saying...that you'll need...my help?
Diluc: Yes
Diluc forces his answer out, noticing Kaeya half smiled, and then chuckled, "Well, well! I didn't expect for the mighty Darknight Hero to request my help."
"You being a Knight pisses me off," Diluc growls as Kaeya just laughed, "My, even after you've grown, you still have your temper."
Diluc grunts and sees his brother smiling. Perhaps he wanted for the 2 to get along, just like in the past, but both were too afraid to ask, and too upset
"Fine, I'll help with whatever I can," Kaeya says as he turns to walk away
"Wait!" Diluc says as he extended his hand, seeing Kaeya turned and looked into his eyes, "Yes?"
"Please come back tomorrow," Diluc forced those words to come out as Kaeya chuckles softly, "As you wish, brother."
Diluc, even though he did not like being called his brother, for once, it actually felt nice
Kaeya returns to the city as he met up with Aether and Paimon, who were talking with 3 people
"Nice to meet you in this fine afternoon, Eula, Amber, and Mika," Kaeya greets as the 3 smiled and waved
"Amber was telling us about some monster roaming the lands!" Paimon shivered, and both Kaeya and Aether just looked away
"I will find it and end it before it causes any more trouble to the people!" Amber says confidently, making both the traveler and captain nervous
"I will accompany Amber for this. I love meeting new enemies," Eula says as Mika speaks, "And I'm going to follow Eula."
"Oh, I see," Kaeya says, thinking if he could change their minds, but knowing Eula, the other Captain of the Favonius Knights, she won't change her mind
"Let's go!" Amber says as the 3 head away, making both Aether and Kaeya very nervous
"Aether, could I have a moment with you alone?" Kaeya says as he gives Paimon a serious glare, keeping her away from hearing their conversation
Kaeya: We must keep Diluc hidden
Aether: Agreed, but how can we keep him hidden in this country?! It's literally open field for the most part!
Kaeya: You're right, but not many head to Stormbearer Point unless for picnics, or other reasons
Aether: Let's just hope we can keep Diluc safe and hidden, before they find him!
Kaeya: Or find out about us. Though, I may have found a way to make him normal, but, I'm afraid it's going to take a long time to make it work
Aether: I can go to the other nations and ask for any advice, maybe one of them has went through this, or was one naturally
Kaeya: Very well, but let us be quick. I'm afraid we won't have much time once they have a lead on him
Kaeya watches Aether depart as he looks out of the gates
Night fell, and Kaeya walks towards Stormbearer Point, gliding down and found the secret cave
He knocks on a nearby stone with his sword, hoping he heard him
"Diluc?" Kaeya calls softly. "Hmm?" Was all Diluc said as he turned from his position, seeing his brother and he looked away
"You're back," he mumbles, and sees Kaeya walk closer to him, but keeps some distance, for his size was still terrifying when close
"Listen, they're searching for you," Kaeya says as Diluc sits up, yawning, and looks down at him, seeing Kaeya, for the first time, worried for him
"Are you...worried for me?" Diluc says smugly as Kaeya clicks his tongue, acting upset, "Tch! As if!"
Diluc, not knowing what he was doing, reaches out slowly, and Kaeya slightly flinched, but stayed still
Diluc caresses Kaeya, ever so gently, making Kaeya feel loved again
"Diluc..." Kaeya looks away, feeling tears stream down as Diluc remembered their past, when his father loved Kaeya as his own son
"Come here," Diluc lays his hand on the floor, waiting as Kaeya climbs onto his hand
He lifts him up, close to his face, and looks at Kaeya's eye, seeing it was watering with tears
"Uhmm..." Diluc, with the only thought in mind, gently brings Kaeya close to his chest, making it seem like a hug
Kaeya, feeling tears again, grabbed his clothing, and cries harder, making Diluc feel bad for him
